2003 Corvette Z06 - Dry Sump Heads/Cam/Intake LS7 – Complete High-end Build
Car is officially sold and tucked away in its new home, thank you for all the interest and positive comments!
I purchased my Z06 in 2008 with 26k miles; it was bone stock when purchased. I have spent the past 9 years completing my vision of the ultimate C5 street car. This is my 3rd C5 and I used this opportunity to complete my ultimate 427cid dream Z06. I started in 2008 with a spreadsheet laying out my goals and modification plans for the car. Countless hours and shop time have been spent tuning the motor and suspension to perfection, always staying true to my original vision for the car; something that can provide the perfect balance of power, handling, braking, appearance and luxury. Essentially, I wanted to have the Z06 equivalent of a 911 GT3 RS. You can drive this car in traffic with the a/c and it will never stall or overheat and the Mantic clutch is nice and easy to modulate, making it perfectly comfortable to drive to work or out to a nice dinner. That said, the real joy is a quiet country backroad or race track where you can really exploit the insane power, handling and braking of the car. This car is like a member of the family and has always been treated as such.
I listed this car earlier in the year and ended up turning down some realistic offers which told me I wasn’t quite ready to let it go at that time. Over the summer I installed brand new BGF Rival S tires, an Apple Car Play head unit, replaced the Apsis carbon splitter and side skirts with fresh pieces, and gave it a fresh alignment. Car has never been better, but I still have urge to sell it and move on to something else, so I know now is the time and I need to finally let it go to a good home. I can only hope it finds a new owner that will enjoy and appreciate it as much as I have.
Power: 560rwhp / 549rwtq
Mileage: ~86,000 (note, 0-mile GM LS7 crate motor was installed at 50k miles, TR6060 transmission, 3.73 diff and heads were done at 75k)

This car has been used mainly as a street car but has seen some limited track use. Track time has a been limited two trips to Englishtown on street tires (best pass of 10.8 at 134mph with a 1.7 60ft), one track day at NJ Motorsports Park to test the dry sump LS7 after it was installed (ran flawlessly, never got above 230 oil or coolant temp during four 30min sessions), a couple of roll-racing events and recently the Slipstream 1/2 mile event where it had multiple runs of 159mph.
Mod List: (fully documented service and parts history since I purchased the car will be included for the new owner)
Note #1: Engine install and tuning performed by East Coast Supercharging. The majority of the maintenance and modification work has been done by them or Corvette Center in Newington, CT.

One of my long-time forum favorites. I am currently shopping, but this is a little out of my price range. Well worth the asking price, however! This car is amazing!

Melting Slicks
Man it’s gonna be tough relinquishing the keys to this bad boy, hopefully she’ll go to good home and be well cared for.

Wow Bill, I am surprised to see you selling. This is my favorite C5.
What are you planning to replace it with?

The sale is still pending, hoping everything will be finalized this week.
Thanks Mike, going to be very hard to watch it drive away for sure. Let's just say I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on the new ZR1 debut whenever that finally take place.
The new owner is a great guy and someone I've known for a while, so it is definitely going to a very good home!
