99 FRC with 25K miles - Help me out...
I have a 1999 FRC in Pewter with 25,700 miles. Sincerely.
- Borla Exhaust with X-Pipe (cut after cats so it's fine in with emissions)
- Hurst Short Shifter
- Vararam intake
- Z06 Wheels
- New Continental Rubber
- Auto Antenna
That's it. Completely stock other than the floor mats and trunk space mat.
Engine looks like new - the damned car smells like new. There is a small body rub on the left rear where a speed bump got me. The front left headlight has a motor noise when going to down position. The gas tank lid has a small imperfection - cheap to replace. That's it - other than that the Vette is perfect.
There is 'zero' leather wear.
The car has been in the Phoenix Metro Area since purchase - I am not the first owner, but I have never driven it in the rain, nor does it look like any other owner has.
Clean title / Carfax.
I've got every receipt of every service or alteration done to the Vette.
It's so perfect I even have the original ink pen that came in the owners manual.
Problem: Wife.
CarMax offered me $14,000 for the car. How badly am I getting ripped off? Do you have any recommendations to sell for a fair price, quick? What should I be looking at pricing my baby?

A few more images.
I'm hoping to get some good advise on pricing this car - it's been a dream to own and I just cant see giving it up for $14K - Carmax is not the solution.

Sorry, but you should not post here unless you include an asking price for your car. Some forum members ask for suggested pricing in C5 General.
Post an asking price.

Thanks Dean2144,
Sure - no problem JimTN. Asking price $20K. It's gonna sell in the next 6 days for $14,000 which is a damned shame. If there's anyone here in the AZ area looking for a steal, here it is.

put it on ebay, easy 16k car on there on a really good deal, set your terms to cash or wire only, will be sold in 5 days. tell the story about carmax and 14k just say i'm looking to see how much more it's worth. set the min bid to 14.1k to cover your ebay fees and let it roll. ebay has to be my absolute favorite place to sell cars, you get great bids and cash buyers
14k is too low

You have a beautiful FRC. Don't give it away. There can't be many mint unmolested Pewter FRC's left out there. Take your time and the right person will come along and give you $20K. My friend sold his '99 Red FRC with a few thousand more miles than yours, in perfect condition with no paint work for $21K a little over 6 months ago. He had it listed for 5 months with a few low offers around $16-$17K. Just when he was about to negotiate the $17K offer up, someone came in at full price. Good luck with the sale. Too bad you have to sell it.

I believe Huss and I have come to a quick resolution and sale
Feels good to know that this Vette will be going to someone who will respect it and understand exactly how cool it is.
It was a pleasure to meet you, Sir - and I'd be glad to share a beer with you and your wife anytime!
Thanks Huss!
