WTB for around $10K
Would like to get a 98'ish to 2002'ish C5 for around the price. I know, I know, may be tough but thought I would try.
Anyone know of a good, safe, clear titled and possibly HUD equipped one out there in the NorCal area of Ca? Already browsing Craigslist, so maybe someone who is talking about it, but hasn't pulled the trigger yet ? Mmmmmm, anyone ....
Thanks!

Yea its not NorCal, but its still semi close. With cash you could probably get it for just over 9k realistically.

That's one I've been looking into for a while but can't pull the trigger as I don't have the money to pay in full and refuse to take payments. Just showing you that they exist as to supply you with some hope as I am looking for the same thing! Best of luck to you!

Also keep in mind that if you have the cash, the deal can change. you could get a 12k car from a dealer for 10k easy if you have the cash then and there. It really changes the way the dealer works.

thank you Days
I should have mentioned manual trans. Thank you for the heads up though. May have found one. Asking 14,999 but he wants a commuter for partial trade. Just so happens I have one. Saw it today and got the VIN and glove box codes, although some of them are worn down. Will meet again Monday for safety check and smog test. Hoping it comes true!

spend 12-12.5k
at that price you can get a 100-140k mile 01 coupe in good shape with a good owner, maybe an 02
at 10k you get pre 01 cars, usually multiple owners, like 5+, car probably will have slept outside a good deal. rougher everything
you can get decent driver grade cars around 12 but it's rare at 10 unless it's an early year

Thank you CTRL. No offense but I've had black cars and between the swirls and smudges, it drives me nuts trying to keep it clean.
Will know by tomorrow noon if the local deal comes through. It's a partial trade for a commuter I have for a cash too at my end. Deal will keep my payments way below the $200 mark. It was like the add was made just for me.
Beautiful metallic flake in the pewter (silver) paint.
Wish me luck and will post update tomorrow. Again, thanks for all the help everyone.

Got it
Monday was a big day for me and after about 6 hours at shops, smog and DMV dropping off the release of liability I am now the perked owner of a 99 Coupe, manual. Did a deal where I traded my commuter and some cash for it. Oh and only 80,500 miles too. Added photos to my album. Thank you everyone for all your time, advice and offers.
