2002 zo-6 for sale
Red / Black
It is in perfect condition.
It has been meticulously maintained and garage kept.
Clean car fax
Never hurt. Original paint shines beautifully.
Interior is very very clean with no rips of tears. But heads up display bezel is cracked as usual
Three previous old fart owners
Bone stock except for shifter and 1st-4th skip eliminated
88,000 miles
Has new brake Hawk HP Plus pads and rotors all around. New Nitto NT 555R II Extreme tires with less than 1,000 miles all around.
285-35-18s front 305-35-18s rear
New belts and tensioner's
Valve springs changed.
Head light gears done.
New Window regulators
All fluids have just recently been flushed and replaced with Amsoil products.
Runs and drives perfect
Tight as a drum.
These C5 zo6 Fixed Roof Coupes are quite possibly the most beautiful and recognizeable game changing corvettes since the 63 Split window coupe!

Took a refundable deposit over the weekend. Holding till Friday for the buyer to come up with the money. He needs financing and did express some concern over his credit so it may still be fore sale come Saturday.

Due to many members asking about the known steering lock problem in these cars, I dropped off the car at my local Chevy dealer to have the retro fit done. The recal service was done back 04 and no issues since, but I feel better knowing I'm selling a car that has all known issues replaced.
This forum and it's members are irreplaceable as a sorse of information.

Total cost with tax and labor was $722.00. Ouch!!! But now there is no question of getting stranded ever again.
So that brings the total to almost 5 grand that I've spent making this car as perfectly reliable mechanically as possible within the last two months. Now it REALLY needs nothing but a new owner.
Won't hurt my feelings if it doesn't sell now. I can keep it for another year and enjoy it. It is set up perfectly as a drive it to the track day car now.

Picked up my Z from the dealer today. After three days of discussion on how best to address my concerns on the steering column lock issue. I decided to replace the locking module ($271.00) AND remove the steering lock and replace with the one that won't allow the wheel to lock anymore. This way there will be no chance of fuel cutoff and false codes thrown.
Total cost with tax and labor was $722.00. Ouch!!! But now there is no question of getting stranded ever again.
So that brings the total to almost 5 grand that I've spent making this car as perfectly reliable mechanically as possible within the last two months. Now it REALLY needs nothing but a new owner.
Won't hurt my feelings if it doesn't sell now. I can keep it for another year and enjoy it. It is set up perfectly as a drive it to the track day car now.

BTW You could have avoided that big steering column lock expense by installing the LMC5 Module from Compliance Parts for about 40 clams, see http://www.complianceparts.com/lmc5ataglance.html
It took me about 20 mins to install it in my 02 Z06 last month. I had the same steering column lock issue as you.
