FS 1999 C5 Fixed Roof Coupe
FS 1999 C5 Fixed Roof Coupe
6-speed of course, red, black leather, ~110k-miles
light weight, no option car (body side moldings are the only option)
no power seats, no electronic AC
perf upgrades were done @ 104k-miles
it looks very stock, see below, it's definitely a sleeper
2-owner car, I've owned it for 11-yrs
[B]Engine/Exhaust
LS7 427-ci, L92 heads, L76 GM intake setup
cold air intake/filter, ext. oil cooler, ~6k-miles/engine
ceramic coated headers, high flow stainless mid section w/cats, Z06 titanium rear section
/20-25 mpg freeway cruising, less of course if you're wearing your lead shoes
it isn't a dyno number engine, it isn't tuned just for an impressive HP number, what it has is huge midrange torque and a great run to redline
Suspension
All poly bushings, Koni single adjustables
825-lb front spring, 1-1/4" front sway bar
Pfadt adjustable rear sway bar, long rear spring bolts
only the rear spring remains stock
well sorted and great, neutral handling car
Misc
wide body (L5) rear fenders
18x11 front and 18x12 rear CCW wheels
C5 Z06 OEM wheels/good treaded tires also included
4-pt. welded rollbar
stock brakes w/braided lines
short throw shifter
4.10 rearend w/hardened shaft
6-speed rebuilt at the time of the engine removal/install, no gearing changes
A/C was not charged after the engine install

Additional info after a few email contacts
This is a great and obviously very potent street car, totally reliable, keeps it's cool in the hottest conditions. It's also a great autocrosser, very neutral handling, very capable, well sorted. It's not seen a big track (other than one speed limited touring session) but the potential is definitely there.
Added tire info - basically new KDW's, 275-35/18 front, 335-30/18 rear, no rubbing

You're not interested in any trades are you? If not, I'll be contacting you if it's still for sale after I sell my car.

Good question --- the trans was freshened up while the drivetrain was out, it seemed like a good idea to make sure it was ready for the planned LS7 power. Regarding launching, you feather the lower gears or just make noise and smoke. . .
