Default FS: 2001 MN6 Mag Red Coupe - 53,000 miles in San Diego

ORIGINAL owner (engineer) who meticulously maintained since it had 3 miles on the odo. All maintenance performed and oil changed every 5000 miles (each year). Car was always covered when at work and garaged at home.

http://www.conceptualpolymer.com/2001C5MN6.html

All options like:

Z51 suspension
High-polished aluminum wheels
12 CD changer
Both tops (in perfect condition - painted top NEVER used)
Cargo net
Dual climate control
Dual powered seats
Lowered on stock bolts

Aftermarket:

C6 Z06 shifter by TPS
Bullet shift **** - can replace with other colors or spherical shape
Borla Stinger cat-back with quad round tips (much lighter than stock) OEM exhaust is available, if desired
2002 Z06 air intake box
Aluminum Mercedes jack with puck
Compressor & flat tire kit with pliers
Cold air mod - just add a Blackwing, K&N, or Hallteck filter for a 10 RWHP boost
CP Glass catch can (used for many years)
PowerSlot Cryo-treated rotors (will last forever)
Goodyear GSD3 Max Summer tires
Car cover

Replaced items: (have all receipts)
Diff and engine gaskets (a few years ago)
Oil pressure sender unit (last year)
Smog pump check valve (behind intake manifold)

Fixed items:

EBCM (lifetime warranty from ABS Fixer)
Outside temp display (re-soldered)
Headlight motor gears (replaced with bronze versions)
New tire pressure sensors (to be replaced upon confirmation of sale)

Not so perfect: HUD is a bit faded (but still visible)when ambient temps climb above 75F. I believe re-soldering its circuit board assembly will fix this.

KBB = $19,400
My price: $17,500
Note: Eventually, the passenger side window regulator will need to be replaced. If you can do this, yourself, I'll chop off $300 from my asking price.
Selling to put some money into home repairs and daughter's college expenses

Questions? I've got answers!

sticker. So many people put cars up for sale, don't even know what they have, grossly over price them and make a potential buyer do all the work.

Kudos. Very nice car, well listed and fairly priced .

I am on the right coast in Charleston,SC and there are so many really nice ones for sale near the left coast.

Thanks, Dave. When I look at other manual transmission C5s in Autotrader (this area of country), I see mostly Z06s. Almost every coupe with similar mileage is priced quite a bit higher than my coupe.

selling a nice car is to price it reasonably. I use NADA as a starting guide. You are close to clean NADA. It takes into consideration the mileage on a car. KBB is often high. I never even check it anymore. I also go down to a dealer and get the black book on it from them. That is what dealers use to buy. It is amazing to see some of the prices they pay. There is big money in used cars for dealers. I have friends back in Pa. who are both new and purely used car dealers. Scary rich.

Yes, it's amazing how many people will sacrifice thousands of dollars in the name of convenience. A guy I know was selling his pristine 02 C5 vert. He plugged its information into Autotrader's dealer purchase wizard and the "certified" offer that came back from local dealers was $8000. Now, his car did have close to 100,000 miles on it, but $8k was an insult. My guess is that they priced it so low because they wouldn't sell it on their own lot (because of the mileage).

Thanks,
I drove my 68 C3 from Connecticut to San Diego. Now THAT was a drive, especially in a C3 in August with no air conditioning!
All you have to do is take a vacation, fly down and drive back - the trip of a lifetime!
