Default 2000 Specially Constructed Vehicle FRC (MO)

I built and customised this car from almost the ground up. Because of the nature of the build, the state is titling the car as a 2000 Specially Constructed Vehicle. I could of had it say 2012, but the property taxes are so much more. The car has had it's VIN removed, and a DR# attached, so it has a new windshield in it. It has 58000 miles on it and 18000 miles since her 2nd birth. I took it to the track once and ran a 12.97.

I have a clean title in hand that reads 2000 SPEC - "Specially Constructed Motor Vehicle." (This is not a "R", rebuilt, or salvage title.)

There were only about 4500 Fixed Roof Coupes build in 99 and 00, and most of them came with more of a all black bare bones interior. This car has 2 tone black and tan interior with a HUD, Coubeau Micro Suede seats, MGW shifter, Momo steering wheel and a complete Focal component soundsystem with a JL W3 sub on a 5 channel Memphis amp with a Kenwood head unit. Tinted Windows, and Hushmat throughthe car.

The exterior is Hot Rod Black with Radioflyer Stealth Light Cannon V2 headlights, clear corners with LED switchback DRL's, TSW 18in wheels (no pressure sensors), Nitto NTO5 rubber (60 percent).

I put C6 ZR1 manifolds, downpipes, and x-pipe into a Borla touring catback with K&N CAI, bilstein HD shocks, Hinson urethane rear diff mount, replaced the right rear axel, and lowered. Amsoil everything.

With all these upgrades, this car is better than a Z06 now. It has as much HP as a stock one, and has a much nicer interior. I have upgraded everything that Chevy when skimpy on..

NADA value is $18.4, so I am looking for $15000. There is $10k plus in aftermarket. I might consider a trade. I also have my Camaro for sale, so if I sell it first this may not be for sale anymore.

7000.00 is a good price....should sell quick, despite the VIN strangeness. GLWS I'd pick it up as a track ****, but I'm trying to offload a C4 right now.

I'm confused a little.
Is this a 2000 with a rebuilt title that you repaired and repainted?

Just trying to figure out what it is.

Good luck

He is saying the VIN was REMOVED. The vin is in multiple locations on the car though...can the VIN be verified so that the chassis can be confirmed as not stolen!?

And just to be clear, knowingly removing the VIN of a vehicle is a felony under federal law so...with that in mind...anyone have 17k for this baby?

$17000 is just a price I put on it (since the forum requires a price) till I get the title, which will say "Specially Constructed Vehicle." It won't be rebuilt or salvage. It is more like a kit car title I guess. This car has a DR# now, and not a VIN. The state highway patrol attached the new identification #. I have $30k+ in this car with parts and labor. I know I won't get that out of it, but this is a low mile clean *** car. I will be a bit more realistic with the price when I have the title in hand here in a week or so.

For all of you skeptics out there, she is legal and on the road again. I licensed her with 0 problems. The title reads - Year 2000 Make SPEC. It says on the title "Specially Constructed Motor Vehicle," and that it is exempt from mileage requirements. Then number on the car and title is DRMV**********MO (I am not putting the whole thing on the internet). It is a clean title with no leins. Also, I have a huge file of documentation and receipts for this car.

Pm replied too.

This car is better than a stock Z06 now. I have upgraded everything that you touch, feel, see, and hear, with this car. With the exhaust, intake, and suspension upgrades, it is making as much hp and handles as good or better then a Z06. Also, with all the interior, sound, and hush mat upgrades, it is much superior to a Z06.

The car is probably worth about 12k in stock form and with the 10k in aftermarket being worth 1/3. I am wanting $15k for this car.

It was a FRC that was spun and bent the frame. It just a coupe frame from what I can figure out. All the FRC stuff was switched over. The guy I bought it from won't answer the phone anymore.

This quote is from your other thread. Don't you think this kind of info should be in your for-sale thread?

If the frame was repaired and it still had a salvage title, but it was replaced with another good frame. The frame in the car was never bent.
Everything on theis car was replaced, not repaired, which is part of the reason it is not a salvage title anymore.

It is not like I am trying to hide anything. The build thread is listed all over this add. Anyone who barely does any research can figure that out.
