Cobra trade for Z06
#45
I'm actually thinking about just giving you my Z06 if it means the emails will stop coming in about this Cobra!
Can someone else just donate their Z06? Don't believe everything you read about mustangs. They are really great cars. Please someone do this soon.

As a diehard Mustang (and of course Vette) guy, I would say throw the keys at any real, $20k offer for your car and save the rest for a c5z to your liking. That is crazy money for a SN95 no matter how much you have into it.

Hey man I trade car for a living, you have a car that it art but some people do not see it that way. Get someone local out them in the passengers seat and you'll have your z06.

Threads like this always show you who isn't really a car guy.
First to the OP, beautiful build, and GLWS.
And just some food for thought (since I have a 35k mile Twin Turbo Cobra) I did a quick kbb.com comparison on the value. (Not saying these prices are 100% indicative of what a person would get for a stock, low mile version of each of these cars, but it is at least a fair, direct comparison.)
35k mile 1998 C5

35k mile 1998 Cobra

Just sayin.

EDIT: Checked NADA, quite a swing on price! Definitely goes to show the old adage is true; it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
All that said, I do agree with some of the posters saying that if you really want a ZO6, you may have to take less than what you want and make up the difference. While the car is most certainly "worth" more than 20k, real values are sometimes a bit different. Anything over the 20k mark and you'll get people pushing into clean terminator territory, and while a stock termi won't make the power yours makes, it does have some benefits.
Trust me, I'm on your side as a clean SN95 Cobra owner that makes a boat load of power...as clean as my car is, I'd have a hard time getting 20k for it.

Could be, it was just for tongue in cheek argument's sake.

And the end of the day it just boils down to how bad you want that ZO6
