Is it worth it???
Ok I may have found the one. I have been searching for a 2003 black Z06 with low miles for about 6 months. This one is in Florida with 35,000 miles on it. Price is 23,500. Ad states "Very well maintained, runs perfect, car is all stock except for being lowered 1" on factory bolts, fully loaded with all the goodies, no accidents, clean carfax. I have emailed the seller and waiting for the response. Is this a good deal or should I keep waiting? Thanks guys....

It's lot of car for that price. I'm sure every Tom, Dick and Harry on here will tell you to try to get the guy down to $20-21k...and maybe the seller will take that, who knows?
But if that is the year and color combo you want AND!!!!!... it checks out clean and is as nice as advertised, then you'll have a hard time finding one much cheaper.
Not all 35k mile cars are the same, either. That is what all the low-ballers out there try to assume. You'll have a slew of people, I'm sure, who will say, "I got a 30k mile Z06 for $20k"... yeah, fine. A garage-kept 35k mile car is going to be worth $3-4k more, IMHO, then one that sat outside, has rash on the wheels, and surface rust all over the suspension parts.

^^This. based on advertisement and actual condition maybe you can wigggle alittle on price but any way you slice it, if that is the year. color, mileage, condition, clean paperwork and proximity that works for you- there simply isn't more car for the money out there. period. I bought the exact same car with alittle higher mileage in May this year and absolutely have no regrets other than I can't drive it all winter! Its my first vette and I'm coming from a modified Subaru STi so that one nit should be understandable

Looks pretty clean to me. Mine has 11K on it and I hate to say it but the seats in this one looks a bit better than mine. I thought I took care of mine but maybe not well enough.
I think the price is fair if that is what you are looking for. Good luck with your decision.

Thank you.
Trust me, I'm a very picky buyer. If someone says "pristine", it better be. If someone says the tires are "new"... then they better have just driven them straight from the tire shop. 500 miles on tires is not "new"... they are barely used. A seller better have all the docs to prove to me what he is selling. Service records, etc. If the seller can't provide a lot of the details, then to me that is a representation of how he/she took care of the car... and I move on to something else.
But I'm also willing to pay for the right car (talking used cars). I will get more smiles from it, it will require less maintenance (both initially and long-term), and I won't have to do a lot to it. Typically this approach saves me $$ in the long run and the time it takes while it is up in the air getting repaired. But people would also probably say I was stupid for paying $2-3k more for the "same car they got for $Xk less."

Prices seem to vary by region.
Case in point Steve Dotens Z06 with 18k on the clock that just went for $22.5
And until you see it and drive it and see that everything is up to snuff, it's a really hard call from an add.
And as mentioned what what person considers excellent, might not be your idea.
I tend to see sellers refer to excellent for the YEAR. (10 years old).
While buyers think of them as showroom mint.
Good luck, whatever your decision.

From the pics it looks like a very well kept car. If it checks out, I don't think the price is out of line. Would be worth seeing if there is any wiggle room though.

Niceun,
Depending on where in Florida (west florida panhandle...)
If you want I can take a drive over and inspect it out for you.
Considering that I have good auto knowledge, experience in auto body, and have been buying cars for a while (and picky at it)... it could save you some time.

If you want pristine and low miles how would you feel about a 03 mod interior Z with 18xx ( I believe the last time I inquired the miles were 1844) miles, $33K
I know the owner and was thinking of buying it myself next spring.
He bought the car from a dealer at action a few years ago and then decided it was too new for his taste in cars, he is more of a very old car collector.
For my own use I want a Z with some miles on it, that hasn't been modded, I want to drive it daily, I just can't see me driving this Z if I buy it, it has happened before.
He is asking 33K the car is in North East Pa., Pm me and I can supply his email, but be patent he is not the best on a computer.

Make the best deal you can on it and enjoy. Or you can spend another 6 months searching all the while kicking yourself for passing this up for a few hundred bucks. Let us know where it is and someone can put eyes on it for you.
