The research I found shows only 202 Nassau Blue FRC's were made in 1999.
I think most here will know the significance of the C5-R 427 engine/block. The C5-R block was used in the American Le Mans Series from 1999 to 2005. Here is a bit of info I have found about the block and its history......The C5-R block features align-honed camshaft and crankshaft journals. The align-honed cam journals ensure the camshaft and crankshaft are squared up, which is essential to engine life under extreme racing conditions. And it uses billet-steel main caps with racing-spec A1 Technologies stud fasteners. Also, when ordered from GM Performance Parts, the C5-R block includes a hardware kit with premium fasteners. Bob Cross with GM Racing at the time, was quoted, "The C5-R block was originally designed only for competition use, so it features a lot of exotic production treatments and racing hardware. This block was never intended to be offered to the public, and its cost reflects the processes involved in its manufacture." I am sure more info is out there, along with the cost of the C5-R block with NO internals.
I am sure I am forgetting some stuff about the car. It has not been a garage queen. So expect some scars of a driver. But it holds its own at the local cruise ins.
Then reason I am selling; Lately I have turned it into a garage queen. Not by choice for sure. My work is very seasonal and when its nice and pretty I have to be at work...i.e. not driving the car. When its nasty and cold I am not at work...but I don't want to take the car out in the crap weather. The other reason; I really want the new mustang that is supposed to come out in 2015. I know, I know....mustang...I suck
The price is FIRM at $20,000.

I read through the rules before I posted this. I hope I didn't break any by posting my number or email...but let me know if I did and I will change it quickly.
A couple of guys on this forum know of me and the car. Nick Stephans is one that would vouch for me.

Just remembered a couple things;
-Mike Norris at Nextlevel Performance built this engine. It did have a D1 supercharger on it and as per Mike it put down close to 825hp. The car was volatile to drive and for what I planned to do with the car(road coarse track day/weekend stuff), that set up did not make sense. So that got pulled and retuned by Nick to be bullet proof for track use. It has not seen the track though....read above why I am selling.
-I noticed in one of the pics it shows c5 z06 seats. I took those out....cuz they suck...and put in the c6 seats, which hold you in WAAAAY better.
-It has headers(I dont know what kind). And Corsa complete exhaust(specific fit/design for the tiger shark rear fascia)
Prepare for more updates like this, as I recall more...lol.
Thanks,
Ben

-Nick and myself estimate a safe 500 hp and tq. High 400's would be a very safe number. Again I built it to be bullet proof. As the engine was easily pushing 825 to the ground with a safe tune as per Mike Norris.

1slowfrc,
I have been told that the tranny and rear end is from a 02 z06 installed during/around the time of the engine swap. Judging by the amount spent on the build I would not doubt it. But I cannot confirm it, so I did not include in the build specs above. I was not to concerned with either since I have no interest in drag racing(hard launches), and very interested in track day/weekends. In that scenario the only thing that I believe to be concerned with is hard pulls through 5th and 6th.
Thanks,
Ben

Thanks so much everyone. I will miss this car for sure...BUT...luckily the person who purchased it is a local car guy, and one of my best friends. So I will still get to see the car and I know this guy will use this car very often. Heck maybe he will even let me drive 'er every once and a while. ;^)
