Wow!! Glen I can't believe the time has finally come to part with the FRC. You poored your heart and sole into that car. ( not to mention your wallet too) I'm gonna miss it. I'm sure you will too. I'm sure the car is faster than what you posted up. You were just not willing to rag on your car to find out. Lol running street tires on a fully built car is not usually what people run, when they are worried about drag times or winning races. no, you took really good care of your cars. drive them responsibly. Well, at least the next owner will get one hell of deal/car. Good luck with the sale. I wish I could talk my wife into letting me buy it. Mods alone on my C6 are going to cost me as much or more than your car. $22k is a great price for this car.

Thanks for the kind words buddy. Its a hard choice, but if sold, I'd like to put the funds back into new Z. Yes, very difficult after all the time invested....but, it is what it is. And the time has come to make a decision. If it sells, it sells. No rush. But if your wife wishes to sell the minivan and step it up into a forged C5, the Stage 3+ Dual Friction clutch may be too intimidating!

Thanks again. Tuesday bump....

KBB Lists at $11,500 for a STOCK Corvette in this condition. Asking $10,500 over stock value is reasonably priced for the mods that are in the car.

Kelly Blue Book Definition for GOOD Condition:

Has some repairable cosmetic defects and is free of major mechanical problems
May need some servicing
The paint and bodywork may require minor touch-ups
The engine compartment may have minor leaks
Has only minor rust, if any
The body may have minor scratches or dings
The interior has minor blemishes characteristic of normal wear
Wheels may have minor repairable scratches or scrapes
All tires match and have at least 50% of tread remaining
Though it may need some reconditioning, it has a clean title history and will pass a safety and smog inspection
Some service records are available

When I read your last paragraph I was expecting to scroll down and see some giant winged, goofy looking race car but, what a nice looking car!

I bet it is a blast to drive! I'd be all over it if it was a coupe instead of a FRC as I want an open top car.

For the work you have done to it the price seems in line to me. Don't think you could duplicate for less. Good luck with the sale.

Thank you Chili! It sure is a blast. Too bad it's not a coupe. Thank you for the kind words.

Team, if this my asking price is out of line, please let me know. But please do not confuse what a car with these modifications is worth vs what someone may be willing to pay. Am I overestimating the true value here? I took the cost of the mods and split it by 50% and added to the Blue Book value of the car itself. If you are well versed in selling highly modified Corvettes, please send a PM on my asking price and help me understand pricing the vehicle equitably to sell while not giving it away.

Top of the week BUMP.

Good Lord that thing looks mean. I wish you were willing to trade (trying to trade my GTO for a C5).

Schemdog - Appreciate the compliments. The photos don't do justice to the overall look in person. I am hard pressed to sell, but, it is a thought after all these loyal years.

I seen a YouTube video of some bad-azz GTO. Sounded sick. The video was of teh GTO staopped at a red light and upon take-off, it was sick loud.

As I sit here reading through all sorts of crazy threads....I just got an idea.....why not lower my price to FREE. At least then I may get someone to offer me something out of the kindness of their heart.

But......FREE don't cut it and FREE don't pay the bills.

Hell, it's just money, right?

Entertaining $20,000, OBO over $19,999.00

(Got to add some humor to this tough crowd)

I think some buyers shy away due to the mileage which is unfortunate because I'm certain with the TLC you've given it I'm certain it has tons of life left in it. Then there's the guy that wants to do to his C5 what you've already done to yours. Also unfortunate because as you stated you have something like $19k already invested. And your asking price will basically just recoup your invested dollars. Good luck with the sale, hang tough someone out there will appreciate all your upgrades but it's likely has limited appeal to all but the hardcore Corvette fans.

1,376 Views. Whew....Tough crowd. But hey, at least you are all being very respectful and, I haven't received any "low-ball" offers as of yet. In fact, I haven't received ANY offers. Hahahaha.

Would it be easier selling 200 raffle tickets at $100 each? Hahaha Now there's an idea!!

Or better yet, 400 raffle Tickets at $50 a shot?

Makes things interesting! What 'cha think? Anyone down for a raffle? I doubt it, so here's a free bump to myself.....

Love an AW FRC. I had a '99 and it's one of the best colors on these cars.

Regarding the raffle, you may run into problems legally. I know of a shop that tried the same thing and above a certain value (in this case I believe it was below asking price) the State had a bit of a fit. If not, I'm in for $50 if you can make it work

Regarding the car, there's a lot of quality parts and shops involved thus far and it's probably worth asking price to the right buyer. However, I'd need to know if the decals/etc could be easily removed and if the rear fascia is a vinyl wrap or if it's painted black. (Personal preference and you may have covered this above and I apologize if you did.)
