Is it possiable to find modded C5 for under $15000?
I bought my 2000 FRC stock with H/C plans. But I sold the car due to my wife hating it and trying to save my marriage. Well, she still filed for divorce so here I am. No corvette or wife. So I am now on a single income. I can affored a C5. But i had a stock one already. Is it out of the question to find a pretty clean modded C5 for under $15,000? It looks like that search may be a hard one.

i also would go for something like this over a FRC build if you can. the 01z offers quite a bit more than the FRC for really, these days, similar money based on what i've seen people try to get out of an FRC. you get the updated torque tube. bosch 5.3 traction control and active handliing. the m12 trans, the ls6 to build off of just for starters.
may start to see more deals since the c7 is due out in a couple weeks and the c5 will get pushed down to what's now c4 status

I am in the same boat as you rttmike. I will settle for a bone stock unmodded though. I am going to be a little more picky on the year and color. I am dreaming of a 03 coupe Electron Blue or Spiral Grey and a 04 coupe Lemans Blue or Medium Spiral Grey.
For the record my corvette never gave me as many problems as my wife and damn sure didn't cost as much money!!

It is possible. If you want a nice driver I'd save a little more
This one looks to be close to what you are looking for.

I'd also consider paying a little more, then do your own cam kit down the road.
My FRC was a full bolt on car when I bought it and I ended replacing/fixing many of the mods. If I buy a modded car again, I want tons of documentation which will likely cost me more than the bargain I'm looking for/thought I had.

Totally. Throw up a WTB thread, it has pulled a few different ones out for me that weren't on here. Unfortunately the guy buying mine fell through. As it seems to do. And keep checking Craigslist. I've found a handful of decent ones these past few weeks, but always seems to happen to me when I just can't quite move on it yet.
