WTT Rare Mint Mercedes SL-500 for C5 Convertible
Very Low Mileage 1997 Mercedes 40th. Anniversary SL 500 Convertible has always been a "Sunday Driver"
There is no official book value on this rare limited edition Mercedes
40th. Anniversary SL 500 Roadster
I have set the Trade value at $19,900
I want to trade my Outstanding $92k Mercedes Benz SL-500 for your Corvette C5 Convertible, No project cars please.
I purchased this from the original owner, I am a private party and this car has NO problems.
1997 Mercedes Rare Limited Edition 40th Anniversary SL 500 Roadster with Hardtop and Soft-top.
Outstanding original condition, actual mileage is 38,100 miles, garaged since new.
Mercedes has used the "Anniversary" designation very sparingly over the years. For the SL Class there has been only this
40th Anniversary SL 500 Convertible with a worldwide total of 500 produced, 250 of the 500 were allocated for the U.S. market.
Mercedes AMG performance division has released two Anniversary Edition models based on the SL Class
a 2007 40th and a 2013 45th. Both cars are close to $300K and the total 2013 U.S. production has already been sold out.
The most notable special features of the 1997 Mercedes 40th Anniversary SL 500 are the special "019 Crimson Metallic" paint, a Gold metallic base paint
that simply glows in the sunlight. Mercedes best grade "Exquisite" leather interior in Parchment color
with custom Chestnut wood trim. 17" EVO II Six Spoke Alloy Wheels.
The combination of these features are found only on the 40th Anniversary SL 500
If interested, PM or eMail me: sanct2@gmail.com with what you have to trade or questions.

Why would you want to sabotage my post?
I guess I should have checked with you first before pricing my 40Th. Anniversary Mercedes SL Roadster. Seriously though I do respect your opinion as far as it applies to you. I am sure you are aware that even in the Corvette world condition and real rarity make for an increased value even if it is not indicated in the books as in this case 1 of 250 imported to the U.S.

Dime a dozon
I agree, you have a beautiful and rare model. I own a 320 and have been keeping my eyes open for the last few years for a 500SL. There are so many out there, I can afford to be be choosy. It was my first pic for a sporty convertible until a friend to me I was too young to have one. Get a vette he said. I am looking for a 2003-2004 C5 convertible. but I know I can find a pristine 500SL for 1/2 what i'd pay for a Vette. Good luck, and if you decide to sell your 500SL instead of trading it, let me know.
