FS: 99 C5 $10.5K 137K miles in Cincinnati
SOLD!!!!
I'm selling my daily driver that is garage kept. I'm a car guy that loves to change cars. I am not a car dealer or a person that buys and sells cars for a profit. This price is fair.
In the last year that I've owned this car I've done all the routine maintenance and minor repairs. This car is ready to drive.
- 137,665 miles as of 7/29/11
- Automatic
- Targa top painted body color (Pewter)
- Black interior
- Heads up Display
She is stock all the way down to the wheels and exhaust. The work that I've done to the car since purchase (June 2010) is listed below.
- Mail order tune from East Coast Supercharing.

http://www.eastcoastsupercharging.com/
I did not have the car tuned for performance, but to improve gas mileage, improve idle, and lower running temperature and fan controls.
- K&N air filter
- New plugs and wires
- Replaced targa top seals
- New front air dams
- Mobil 1 oil every 3K
- 8K miles on new tires (Ventus V12 EVO...read the reviews)
- 8K miles on Red Line transmission fluid change. I did not have the system flushed as that's bad for higher mileage cars. I changed the tranny fluid every 2K miles for the first 6K I had the car to allow for a complete fluid change. It shifts so well after fluid changes and tune.
- 8K miles on Red Line rear differential fluid change
- Fuel filter on order and will have it replaced by Monday or Tuesday
The only thing this car could really use is a seat upgrade. If you know or have researched the C5 you know the driver's seat is an issue. The bolster is worn through the leather just like every other high mileage C5. I completed the "rocking" repair with washers etc. (search this forum). My car also came with the broken seat frame (right rear). If you read the forums this is very common as well. I took the seat apart and had a guy weld the bracket. In the process the bracket changed shape a bit and the seat doesn't move like it should. It is in a good driving position, for me at least, but it is difficult to move as its bound up. This part can be ordered for $135 from Pete aka 327carguy (this forum) and the replacement is simple. I haven't gotten around to doing the work. If I keep the car I plan to upgrade to Corbeau A4s instead of repair and reupholster.
There are no major scratches or damage. There are a few small nicks and scratches, but not visible from more than a foot or two away.
I can send you an Auto Check report and show that this car has never been in an accident. It is rated of a score of 80 on Auto Check which states that similar vehicles score between 27-68.
If you are not an individual interested in buying my car please do not contact me. All others feel free to email at djholder77@hotmail.com or call/text (317) 590-5432. Please email for additional pics. I have a lot.
Thanks for looking.
