FS: 2000 DBGM Coupe, 6spd, 97K miles, $11K
1st: If you are looking for a pristine car you need to look at another thread. This car has 97K miles on it, and it has been on many road courses.
Details:
Up for sale is my 2000 Dark Bowling Green Metallic Coupe with Black/Tan Vette Essentials interior. It is a manual transmission car with Sport Seats, Head Up Display, Glass roof, FE1 suspension (with upgrades), Dual Zone A/C, Single Disc CD player. I bought the car in July of 2006 from a great seller in SC and have loved this car. I have done several mods which are listed below. The A/C blows COLD air! I just had the AC compressor replaced and refilled. I also had all the fluids changed except the tranny fluid. The tires have roughly 5,000 miles on them and they are the Vredestein Sessanta This car is not perfect, in-fact I would classify it to be in fair condition.
The car handles like a dream! It corners and will handle with a new Z06. It really is a flat car with the setup I have.
I would rate the paint to a level 4 paint out of 10. It has road rash from race tires kicking crap on the fenders, but the front end, hood, head light covers and mirror were all repainted in March of this year thanks to a a friendly grain truck said blasting the front of the car. At that time I had the roof sanded and re-cleared leaving it in excellent condition. The rear half of the car needs some help. There are surface scratches on the rear fender, and rear deck lid. There is a decent scratch on the pass side rear fascia. The drivers side door on the edge the door has hit several items and could be repainted.
The interior I would also it a 7. The dash and doors are in great condition, but the carpets could use a good cleaning. The seats are in nice shape with custom Vette Essentials seat covers. They could use some cleaning. Because of my size I have warn the seat cushions and they could be replaced to make them seat a little better. Also, the seat controls are not mounted to the seat, they are just hanging there. The plastic that held it to the seat broke on both sides, but they still work...
Wheels are in 4 out of 10 conditions, but could easily be stripped of the paint/caked on brake dust/etc. and be powder coated to look awesome. The rear wheels are very nice, but the front have a cancer caused from Brake Dust...
Mods completed to the car:
Wilwood SL6 6 piston calipers in front
B&B Exhaust (tips could really be cleaned)
X-Pipe
C6 Z06 Shocks
C5 Z06 rear sway bar
Addcco Front sway bar
Pfadt Eccentric Bolts
Hurst Short Throw Shifter
Vette Essentials Seat covers
Tunnel Plate
Stainless Steel Brake lines
Blackwing Intake
Catch Can
Dyno Tune (I think the car dyno'd 321 rwhp.)
ATI super damper harmonic balancer
Items that need fix'n:
There is an exhaust leak, you can hear it when you turn the car left and are on the throttle. (when I put on the x-pipe this problem started)
Left side headlight gear is out. Lights still go up and down, but the left side is yelling at you the entire time it is going down.
There is a popping out of the rear of the car. Not sure what it is, but that is a recent issue.
The top rattles, but I think I can easily tighten some bolts to fix that.
I had a harmonic balancer start squeaking on me and acting up, so I had it replaced. Since it was replaced the wheel speed sensor has been acting up. There may be an issue with the spindle or it is just not connected. I will remove the wheel and see if it is connected.
There is a vibration at interstate speeds...Not sure what that is...
You can see I am being brutally honest, and I want to represent the car as it is, and not fluff it up. I want you to know what you are buying.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks!
Adam Boca
PS: I will take photos tomorrow...

I can vouch for this car still being a ball of fun, having both driven it and watching it on track! More importantly, Adam is one of the most honest people I know with the utmost integrity so you get exactly what is being offered with no surprises. Adam is a pretty good wrench and I'd rather have this car with 'x' miles on it than a car that has no maintenance history. It should also be noted that many of those mile that Adam has on the car have been a result of driving to NCM and other car enthusiast events.
