Default Just bought a 2003 - value

I just bought an 03 (picking it up saturday) for $17,100 off of ebay. The car has 67k miles and appears to be in great shape from the pics and in speaking with the owner. It is a semi local sale for me (90 miles away) so i don't need to worry about transport fees... Anyway, i just wanted to give you a little insight on what the values are on some of these cool c5's. I'm guessing some of you might have watched the auction. I will attempt to attach a pic so excuse me if it doesn't work. If you would like to check it out, the ebay ad should still be up... # 180354446698 I am on this forum everyday, it is awesome! thanks

Congrats and very nice.

And thanks for letting us know what the market is doing in terms of prices.

That sounds like a great deal for sure good luck with it. It seems to be all used car prices are way down now so it is a buyers market for sure no matter what it is.

There have been non-Z 2003's going for low teens recently on EBay.

Search completed, "sold" auctions for 03 Vettes. Crazy cheap. We have to be near the bottom for pricing.

BTW, nice buy.

Default don't mean to be rude, but...

Thanks but no insight is needed since the value is what someone pays, and there's great variation on vettes involving sellers/buyers.

This thread is for people who are interested or in the market for a C-5..... I'm hoping the good people of this forum appreciated the info. Your rude comment was not necessary.

Yes, it was necessary.

Does this mean all 2004 corvettes are now worth what you paid?

Somethings not right here, your bragging about a car you just bought on ebay, you have only seen pictures of it, you haven't seen it in person?

I hope it works out for you,I really do. I would do a carfax, have the car checked out before believing the owner that its never been wrecked.

On another note,

I'm trying to help a forum member find a C5 Z06. He is looking for a absolutely perfect car, under 20,000 miles. 2004 Z06 with 6000 miles, $29000, guess what ITS SOLD. 2003 Z06, Red, 15000 miles, $27000, guess what, SOLD. How can this be, I thought these cars have depreciated beyond belief. It just proves that the nice ones will bring the money.

I don't think he was bragging.

It's a good deal, but not an "out of this world" one. The car is low optioned for its year---it doesn't have heads up, select ride, and it's a base automatic. It also has nearly 70,000 miles on it, which is getting up there.

As a shopper in this segment, those are all deal breakers for me. So I would say both sides of the deal did well.

When a buyer and seller agree to a price, that's the market value.

Actually, it just proves there's an a$$ for every seat and nothing more. Any idea how long those respective cars were on the market? Many of the sellers who have rides that are overpriced (relative to the market) are waiting for that one fish to come along and buy. Sometimes it happens, but most often you see threads here bumped every week for months and months with a zillion views but no sale.....

I picked up the car saturday and it is very nice! I love it (except for the yellow calipers)! This is my third corvette but my first C5.... GM did a nice job on the C5 except for the road noise...... Time to search the forum on "road noise".... My first two projects are the yellow calipers and then the road noise issue.... damn, those calipers are ugly.... ha ha Thanks guys

Nice vette at a good price. People who own one think the price is too cheap, those who want one think the price is good. Funny how that works.

Enjoy!!
