I am getting ready to order a 2002 Electron Blue A4/Coupe. What kind of discount should I get? With the ecomomy in the tank I expect to get more than the usual $1500 but how much? What kind of $$$$ are you guys seeing?

Hi Mike...

I cannot understand why you need to steer a Forum member to a non-supporting vendor. There are quite a few of us (sponsors) here who would like to earn his business and pay for the right to help.

I am afraid that is also against Forum's policy.

Any thoughts?

Yours,

Crisis, Contact the Forum's Supporting Dealers directly. Many of us have bought Vettes from them, got the best prices and were dealt with properly. I believe you will find the highest integrity, honest responses to your questions and the delivery experience will be positive.

I purchased from Reggie at Tom Jumper and was completely satisfied. This is my 13th Vette after more than 30 years of enjoying the Corvette family. I have spoken with several of the Supporting Dealers and have been favorably impressed. Good Hunting! :chevy :flag :chevy :flag :chevy :flag

Mike,

I do not remember hearing from you..however I think the point some of the guys are trying to say is that their is more to the picture than price. The forum dealers would not be here if the weren't honest. I can tell you that every dealer has their own different internal policies about fees and prep pakages but I believe the bottom line is that Forum members can buy from a forum dealer and know that they are going to get the service and price that the majority of regular dealers are not going to give. We support the forum and its members, by making the buying process a great one! Sounds to me like you are stepping over dollars to get to pennies...Just my 2c

$4500+ off MSRP is what I got on a '02 Z06. Not sure what that would translate to a coupe.

Your best deal at a forum dealer will be about $3-4k off MSRP for a brand new coupe. You may do a little better if it has been a "demo" vehicle. The Forum dealers are great because they know the C5 and Vette fanatics better than your local dealer. That said I talked with three or four Forum vendors and then found the car that I wanted at a "local" (three hundred miles away) dealer. I made them an offer and they accepted. $3500 off MSRP. For me being on the west coast it was cheaper than getting the same discount from NJ, GA, or FL and then paying to ship it out here.

Talk with the Forum dealers but check and see if any local dealers have the C5 you are looking for and make them an offer.

Cyaford,

who did you get your $4500 discount from? That sounds like exactly what I got. I have already place a deposite with her, but it doesnt seem like I will be getting my car anytime soon. You can E-mail me at earlybird_66@yahoo.com

Thanks,

I need a picture of my NEW Vett for my signature

The problem in Southern California is volume. The dealers here can sell every
corvette they get at sticker and selection is low right now due to the low
GM interest rates. Mike

California is a tough market for discounts on Corvettes. You may be better off to deal with a forum dealer in the south (GA, FL, or LA). Either ship it or fly back and drive it back to California over a weekend.

Earlybird: I got mine from a dealer in Clarksville, TN. I bought my last Vette through then before, so I'm sure that had a little to do with it. I did have to wait forever also. But now she's here and all mine! :D ....... I would still recommend the Vette Net. I've used them in the past and I never thought it would be so easy going through a brokerage service. Ron was a great guy to deal with and never tried to feed me any BS that some of my local Nashville dealers did....
