I think you had a good price--yes that is why someone jumped on it. Nevertheless, I think you wouldn't get more than $1000 more for a long wait. You just mainly made the negotiation process unnecessary. With a higher price, you don't know how firm it is.

I have seen some of the best deals on Vettes in Sept/Oct/Nov, sometime the sellers seem to panic. I notice in Jan/Feb, sellers will tend to just wait it out for spring, On the president day sales, the dealers satart advertising spring is around the corner.
