That is most likely one of the best examples your gonna find for a mint Z16 so $43.5K is not out of line but what do you plan to do with the car, if your gonna drive it and put miles on it..... you might as well save a few grand and buy one thats got 5-10K miles. Once you get a few thousand miles on that car that premium value will be gone. If your gonna use this car as a show/garage queen then its worth the money.

Default Z16

THERE'S a vette dealer around here who has one for $45,900 with around 4-5k on it.I think that's a good price,so the ebay most definitely is.

I've been looking and I would say 43k isn't over priced but it isn't a great deal either. 40k-42k should be your goal, I've seen them go in that range.

There was one in the paper in the DFW area the other week with 700 miles on it that went for $38,500. It sold the very first day the add was listed... and I missed out on a heck of a deal.

We'll probably put about 1,000 mile on it a year. We'll keep our '03 Z06 that gets many miles on it but always wanted to get the Le Mans Blue Comm. Thanks for your input, I guess the price isn't too bad after all -- we'll see if I can haggle a bit.

Good advice! I think these cars look good, but it's a Commemorative Edition not really limited production at 2025 cars produced.

VNAMVET,

Funny stuff. What did you sell your '04 Z06 for and mileage? Just trying to get a price comparison. Thanks,

Default Consider This!

There was a Z16 at a Chevy dealer in Destin, FL that had less than 250 miles on it when I was shopping for my ZO6.

Also, a local Chevy dealer offer me their trade Z16 with 3400 miles at $39,600.00.

Your deal... When you consider getting that e-bay car to Florida from IL.

If your goal is to put few miles on it (1k per year), and intend to keep it for a while, it would be worth it. If you intend to race it, mod it, etc. then get a higher mileage Z.

When I was searching for a Z16 there were a few that were beat with less than 3k miles. The price of piece of mind may be worth a slight premium.

At the beginning of the year the prices were lower, but now they have seemed to climb a bit.

There may have been a whopping 2025 of these cars made. However, there have been a few totalled and many modified. Not to imply yours will be the only one left in a few years.

My $.02: If you want the car, if you have the $$ to spend. Buy it and don't look back. You won't regret it. If you are **** and settle for one for $2k less you will forget about the money sooner than the flaws of the car.

It is an awesome color and is the first and currently ONLY special edition Z06 and the last of the C5s.

One final and VERY important item: Be sure to have the car checked out by a crime investigation unit in the state/county the vehicle is located. I spoke with a sheriff this morning and there is LOT of eBay and Auto Trader cars being sold that were reVIN-ed after being stollen. Only yesterday a guy down the road from me had his $50k Escalade impounded due to the scam.

Best of luck!
Steve

Limited production means that the factory will not build any more than (their stated number). So 2025 is a limited production.
Now talking rareity...than thats another puppy.
There were more Z16's built than all other Z06's combined.
But 2025 distributed through out the world ...that is a rare car. Making all the other Z06's even rarer.
