I am gauging interest in my 1996 LT-4 Corvette Roadster.
It is Red with Black top and interior and all options except the hardtop. It has FX-3 Real time damping, Bose Gold, dual power sport seats, etc. It is virtually all original except for the 17x9.5 silver painted ZR-1 wheels and Dunlop tires, the CAGS eliminator, K&N filter and open cover, and a few other minor mods. I bought the car in 1998 with 5.2k miles off of a GMAC 2-yr lease...
Nothing wrong with the car. I am at a point where I am either going to sell it or I am going to start driving the heck out of it...
I am thinking the car should bring $24-$25k
Any feedback would be helpful. I can dig up some pix and email them to those who are seriously interested...
Dave,
It sure sounds like a nice car, but I would seriously doubt that you could get that kind of money for it even with the low miles. If it was a rare color like yellow then I could see it otherwise I would think somewhere in the $22-24k range would be reasonable. Good luck with the sale.

Your car sounds very nice with low miles. I am shopping for a C4 and have looked at many online although I probably won't buy until next spring. I have to agree that your price sounds a little high.
I think my range is a good starting point. I have found several LT-4 Roadsters with more miles and fewer options for $24-$25k. I am certainly not going to post my bottom line price here, all is negotiable... Serious buyers should be prepared to make an offer... that is how the process works. That being said, I am not a motivated seller, merely testing the waters. I don't think there are very many nice LT-4 convertible cars out there to choose from. It is a buyers market for common C4s and C5s, but this one is not common...
If someone wants a car to show and to 'baby', this might be the one... otherwise, like I said, I will end up extracting my value by driving the snot out of it.
Dave, I am in the same situation you are. I have a beautiful 92 Vert with 18k miles on it. But I get bored with things fast and am looking for something different( 6sp, Admiral Blue,Black Rose or a C5,? ) Anyway I might sell it for 19k or so. Is this a fair price?
Here is the add. http://www.vettehound.com/geo/classi...php?a=2&b=1245
i bought my blk on blk lt4 coupe with 29k miles for $13.5k last year ! Not to bust your sale but youre here to test waters, as you said. Your price is not realistic. Drive the "snout" out of it !
I paid 20 for a Torch Red on Red LT4 ROADSTER W/ 29,xxx miles 2 years ago on this forum. It was super nice....just needed tires....
I paid 27,999 for a C.E. LT4 Roadster in fall of 2000 from a chevy dealer. It was loaded with every option but emt's.... 48,xxx miles and a brand new LT4
I just bought a lt4 last week with 15,300 miles for $18500, it doesn't have the ride control or sport seats but it is almost showroom condition.
I am planing on driving the heck out of mine. I really can't understand how the previous ower didn't drive it,,, I thought thats what they were made for!
I vote Drive it!
I've been looking at C$ LT4's for some time. Haven't found "Thee" one yet - but I have a good idea about Price. If you get down to the "$18 - $19" range anytime soon - (i.e., before you "drive the snot out of it") - give me a holler.
Yeah I agree beat the snot out of it like it was your step child, thats one way to get your moneys worth!! OR you could take less before you beat it up and get nothing?? Tough choice when you put vettes on a pedistal of what you think they are worth and what people will pay you for it in the REAL world. Good Luck in your sale.
