Pride and joy. I've truly taken the best care of this car, and its appearance and mechanical condition speaks for itself. Always garaged, Mobile 1, Shell premium, and washed after every cruise. I was not hardpressed to sell this vette, but after having purchased a second vette last week, I must now try to sell it fast to be able to breath easier financially.
It offers many options, including:
FX3 select ride
F45 active handling
tire pressure monitor system
passive keyless entry
bose gold cd/cass.
Blk. dual power Sport seats
Runs smooth, strong, and healthy. It achieves 33 mpg cruising on the highway. I'd be glad to answer any questions, or offer further info.
My wife and I are leaving on vacation Sat. 07/12/03 and will be gone for two weeks. I originally offered this car for sale at $20k, but we hope to sell it by Friday and are offering it now for $17,500. As they say, "we are highly motivated".

I'm very proud to say (and you'll be proud to hear) that we purchased another '96 Collector's Edition with the LT4, Z51, red int., and 29k miles........I'm keeping this car for the rest of my life.
We were looking for a '98 Pace Car, or a hardtop, and when the moment came for us to trade in our CE, my wife almost cried. She said the CE became a part of me (and her), and that, then and there, was a wake-up call for me. We will never regret our decision, I'm sure of it. The C5 lacked ownership pride (at least for us it did).
I'll try to post pictures of both CE's before the first one is sold.
Sorry - I just checked out the pictures - it is a 6 speed.
Are you available on Thursday / Friday to see the car??
Thursday is much better for me. I can try to leave work early and bring the vette to you, it'll be a nice cruise to Fox Lake. If it rains, we'd have to try to meet Friday or perhaps you will make the effort to come to our home. Let me know what works best for you.
Took a drive with our first CE to Michigan. The wife drove the first one and I drove the new one back. That was so cool, two CE's side by side on the highway.
Any other interest, I don't want to commit to anyone person unless I see that they're serious. As of now, it's still fair game. :smash:
If it doesn't sell by Friday, we've decided to take this one on our 5000+ mile drive. I'll repost it for sale when we return in two weeks, and make the milage adjustment in the ad.
P.S. Is the price too high.......................is it too low :skep:

As a potential buyer, I've looked at KBB, Edmunds, etc to get a price range. These sources are telling me a car like yours sells privately for ~ $15,500.
The 66,000 miles is right on the cusp of high miles for a Vette (in my mind anyway). Won't be long before you're perilously close to the dreaded 100K mark.

Email me when you're ready to sell.

This is what I don't understand; as Corvette owners we praise ourselves on meticulous maintenance on our cars and we usually keep them garaged and coated with many coats of Zaino yet we view 60,000+ miles as a "show stopper". I guess we are supposed to wash them, wax them and look at them........but don't, whatever you do, drive them!

Taht is just kooky talk. $17.5k is a great price for this car.
