Default 1985 Corvette - Modified, Fully Restored & Super Fast

I have for sale a recently completed 1985 Corvette that underwent a 6 and a half year modification/restoration. I have receipts totaling more than 65K. Yes, that is not a misprint. Why you ask did I spend so much money restoring and modifying an 85? The answer is because that's the Corvette I had at that time and as time went by, I continually added things on to the "to do" list. And before I knew it, the entire car was completely apart and every bolt and square inch of the car was restored and/or modified. This is probably the finest example of any 85 on the planet as evidenced by the photos. Any car show I enter always garners the most looks and compliments. I'm selling it because it's time for another project. I wish I could take credit for the amazing work but the toughest part I endured was writing the checks. Look at the photos for yourself and see if you agree that it's the best looking 85 around. At the bottom, below the photos, is a list of the majority of parts that are in the car. Naturally, I couldn't include everything, but this list gives you a good idea of what's there.

I'm sure you can tell, that way too much money was invested in this car. It was built by a famed Corvette restoration expert who was a tech writer for Corvette Fever when it was around. He currently has his own Corvette shop in Alabama and does phenomenal work. If you're truly interested, send me an email and we'll talk about it. I'm a bit negotiable on the price so please don't make a silly offer like 10K.

I'm asking 45K.

Thanks all for looking. I don't need to sell this car so I'm not going to give it away. I know I'll never recoup my investment, but I don't want to take a bath either.

Someone out there has got to want the finest example of any 85 on the planet. Make me a legitimate offer and we'll talk.

If we can make a deal, I'll pay whatever it costs to have this "piece of red jewelry" shipped directly to your home (48 of 50 states - I'm sure you can figure out which two are excluded).

it's really great to see a full - tilt effort at restoration of a c4 like that.

honestly they are such better cars than old musclecars as a platform, and their few flaws are very easy to fix in todays world.

GLWS!

You sir are correct. I was a freak to spend that much on an 85. But, I couldn't stop myself. Each time I did one thing, I wanted to do just one more. And then one more after that, etc.

I haven't taken the beast to a strip. My builder told me that even with the 3.73 rear end, it will easily hit 180's mph and more. I have more fun accelerating "rapidly" than testing its limits. I've hit 60 in 2nd gear and it would have easily continued to accelerate w/o shifting. Fifth gear is pretty much useless unless you're going more than 75.

Without sounding cocky (because I didn't do the work), this is probably the finest C4 around. It's not the fastest, but it's probably the best overall.

I'm really on the fence about selling her. I'll negotiate on the listed price, but I'm not handing someone a winning lottery ticket.

Thanks for all the positive comments. It's nice to know that the C4's are still appreciated.
