Hmmn 3 day weekend coming up. I wonder if I could do a round trip with my flat bed trailer in 3 days. I always said I would never own a red Vette because I hate that prince song so much. But a ZR1 may be worth an exception. I would need a 4 post hoist or flat bed wrecker to load it. My 4 post hoist will unload it. Well time to go start talking to Michelle. This will take some convincing.
Red cars are faster! Took my red ZR-1 out yesterday and it sure does draw attention.
One can not imagine the LT5 until you have been behind the wheel in secnd gear around 7200 rpm's
Just Saying!
I have a magazine with a shoot out between a ZR1 and a stock C5. They were pretty even. I am not looking for power. I am interested in owning and preserving a piece of automotive history. Still trying to get an OK without giving up my search for a C3. If she won't go for both the C3 wins. That was the Vette when I was a kid and holds a special place for me. I am making progress. My C5 and C6 are more for driver use. Not anything special to preserve.
Maybe I have not driven a ZR1 yet. They were the best thing going when they were new. As I sad they were an important part of automotive history and I want one. And the difference between my 2 cars I would feel certain the ZR1 would be seeing that part of my C6. Every gen gets faster.

Faster is not always better. How fast is fast enough? The ZR1 is definitely a piece of history. A fine example of engineering. There will always be faster cars. The C5s and up are not really very good looking cars. bobbed off butts and they started looking like japs wannabees. I think the C4 was the last real "American" Corvette muscle car as far as looks. I wouldn't have a C5 or later if you gave it to me..... I have owned many Vettes starting back in the 60s. Sorry. but you can have the new ones. From a 64 year old Classic hot-rodder.
