F/S 1989 Bright Red, 33543 Miles $9500 OBRO
I am selling the 1989 Coupe that I bought in August of 2012 (from the second owner and forum member). I purchased this car as an incentive for my then 15 year old Grandson to improve his school work and overall behavior. Sadly, he did not do the things to earn the car, so I am selling it.
The Car is in extraordinary condition for a 25 year old car. There are only 33,543 actual miles on the ODO. There is only one thing on the car that does not work and that is the lumbar pump on the drivers seat.
The car has the FX3 adjustable suspension, Getrag 6speed manual and Z51. - there were only 1536 approximately FX3 cars made and probably fewer with all three of these desirable options.
The paint is in outstanding condition. The car has been garage kept. The interior is in excellent condition. The tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE730 275/40 ZR17 with approximately 6.5mm tread remaining. (ADDED) It has both a Colored Top and the Transparent Top.
The car is mostly stock with the exception of headers, an adjustable exhaust, and an Alpine CDA 9813 Head unit.
When I bought the car, the previous owner rebuilt the headlamp motors and the ABS system with all new brake fluid. When I got it home, I had all the remaining fluids - Cooling, Trans and rear end, changed.
The car starts easily and runs great. If I didn't have two C6s in the Garage, I would keep it, but my Fiancée needs a spot for her car now.
Contact me at 336-298-7747 or PM for additional information or offers.

Great looking car there. Good buy for someone.
I hear what you're saying on the Grandson. Been there, could have written the book. Sorry to hear it, I know it's a downer.

That's a lot of car for a 15/16 year old. Wish my grandparents would have bought me a Corvette at that age, but I probably would have killed myself in it. I've sent you a PM.

What a nice car. Ya....way too much car for a kid. Probably better he didn't get it. Don't be offended. My son wrecked my C4 at 19 yrs old. He and the car lived, but lesson learned. You are Cheep !! on your price. If I hadn't just bought a nice CE, I'd be calling you. It won't last long. Good luck.

Not all kids are irresponsible with a fast car. My son bought and paid for his 95 6 speed at the age of 19. He never even had a speeding ticket in it.
OP, I love the 89, just too high for my budget at thos point GLWS

Touche' - I was racing at 16. That was in 1966. Had the fastest 1/4 mile car in town. 65 Malibu with souped up 327, 4 spd. and 456s. Went to the drags everyweekend. Me and my bud were speed freaks. ( Not the kind of speed they have nowadays). Steet raced for a six pack. I was raised around heavy equipment and powerful cars. Had my first Vette at 20. Never put one in the ditch. But most kids at a young age don't understand the concept of power to weight ratio. Until they put one in the ditch, or worse yet, around a pole. Most kids don't have the respect for lots of power until it bites them. Just saying.

One of the reasons that I got the '89 was it is comparatively mild HP wise. 245 HP is less than a new Camry But it drives great and looks great and sounds great. (my other two Vettes have over 1100 combined HP )
