That car has some very interesting RPO's worth reading up on. Z51, FX3 like OP stated. That new in '89 M6 trans was initially built by ZF in Germany. Only 4113 had it that year out of 26412 total. Even more limited was those optional sports seats more common in the 90-93. Only 1777 that first year for that style seat.
Nice car

Been watching this, can not believe this is still for sale. This vette is spec'd exactly the same as the 1st vette I looked at to buy back in 2001. It's got me thinking!!!!

Sending PM, Want to talk
I made you what I think to be a reasonable offer assuming the air is working great and only known issue is lumbar on DS. SC taxes will be 300. I can be there Saturday.

distance
Man I wish I was only 5 hrs from where I found my car !! I was 2500 miles from the car I bought. Maybe I was lucky, but I found exactly the car I wanted. Bought it sight unseen from a forum member. Steve (WeGone) is truly a stand-up guy who told me the absolute truth about the car. We made a deal on my new 96 CE and it took quite awhile for me to get him paid. My bank played games. He hung in there, even though he had other offers on the car for more money. He drove the car a distance to meet the trucker, helped load the car at his end to make sure it was getting to me unharmed. It took over 3 weeks from deal to me getting my car off the truck. It is truly a wonderful car and Steve deserves KUDOS for being a great guy. I wish everyone would be that honest when selling a car. THANKS STEVE !!!! YOU ARE DA MAN !!!!!

I'd buy it in a second for my dealership in Florida, but I don't like lowballing moderators.
Assuming the car is the same as when I had my hands on it, and judging from the miles and photo's it is, it is hard to find them like this, and Z51 FX3 6-speeds are tough to find, you can jump on a plane and fly out to get it with no fear whatsoever.
Third party opinion, never met current owner. Seriously this is it.
If you just bought one and wish this one was available before, sell yours I'm serious.
