FS: 1996 LT4, Supercharged, built by T.J. Wong, 600+HP
Fellow corvette forum members, this is the REAL DEAL! This corvette was meticulously built by TJ Wong, of Wong's Performance in Washington.
True 1996 LT4 c4, black on black, 6-speed.
The build included the following;
383 cubic inch
2-bolt LT block
Pro-Gram billet steel splayed main caps
Pro-Gram billet steel front and rear caps
AFR Eliminator 210 heads (7/16 rocker stud)
Custom crane cam grind, 234/242 with a 112 LSA (.574/.595 lift)
Comp Cam 1.6:1 roller rockers
Callies 4340 crank 3.75" stroke
Lunati 6" billet steel rods
LT4 extreme timing set
Mellings hi-volume oil pump, with ARP pump drive shaft
Canton road-race pan
Cometic head gaskets
ARP Head studs & main bolts/studs
Ross reverse dome pistons
TPIS 58 MM throttle body
Ported LT4 manifold
Deka 60# fuel injectors
Racetronix fuel pump harness
Walbro 255lph in-tank
External fuel pump (in line)
McLeod street twin clutch kit
CNC master cylinder
Factory replaced blue-tag 6-speed
Hurst short throw shifter
Melrose long-tube headers (none emission version)
EGR system removed, with lock off plates
Vortech V1 T-trim kit
Blowerworks 8-rib conversion w/auto tensioner
Blowerworks methanol injection
Blowerworks ATI super damper 6+8 rib damper
Blowerworks no-slip modular head unit pulley
The car was tuned by TJ and at "full effort" this combination made 630wrhp! That was with a 75/25% methanol, distilled water mix, and maxing out the blower. The vehicle was then tuned-down, and my best guess at this time would be 550-600rwhp.
Items Replaced in my ownership;
NGK spark plugs
ACDelco ignition coil
ACDelco ignition control module
ACDelco ICM heat sink
Proform licensed GM black crinkle valve covers
Felpro reusable valve cover gaskets
Cleaned, recharged k&n air filter
Switched Mobil-1 15w-50 synthetic oil
Denso oxygen sensor
Magnaflow true 3" stainless header back
ACDelco slave cylinder
Porterfield street pads front
Ceramic street pads rear
Goodridge braided brake lines (not yet installed)
Brand new BFG 275/40-17 front tires (less than 500 miles)
Brand new Mickey Thompson ET-II DR 315/35-17 (less than 500 miles)
Cosmetic;
Cowl vent filter
Powder coated A-molds (gun metal)
Black center caps
Black lug nuts
Side mirror air dam (not installed)
1988 Z51 front spring, lowered on wedges
1984 Z51 rear sprint, lowered on bolts
Street, with mild track use alignment (never tracked)
Delrin shift ****
I purchased this car from the owner who had it built originally, his name is Glenn. In case a potential buyer wants to contact TJ about the build. I drove this car from Los Angeles to Phoenix! No issues, incredibly well sorted combination which yielded 25 mpg doing 85mph +/- all the way.
I don't dare power shift this car, you have to respect the power this thing makes, and the rag radials had been installed to make some sense of traction (ran at 32-psi, and they hold well with gradual throttle input). The previous tires would simply light up with even moderate throttle effort.
I am entertaining selling this car because my contract (employment) ended, and I'd like to thin out the toys. This was the "elusive" creature experience for me that finally came to fruition (I had a supercharged 93' the build never came together, so I wanted to fill that void).

I strongly encourage any prospective buyers to come and inspect the vehicle (if possible). The undercarriage is as clean as the surface.
Ice cold AC, all electrical components are functioning, it HAS PASSED AZ emissions, true Grand Sport seats.

You are also correct, easily $8,000 for JUST the supercharger kit and the supporting components, $12,000 worth of engine, $1,200 CLUTCH... The list goes on. The icing on the cake is that it's been properly built by a professional (the quoted prices don't even include labor of install). It can add up in a hurry, easily $25,000-30,000 (excluding the car) to replicate. AND IT'S A TRUE LT4 96'.

No rush to sell it, just giving someone else a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I just put a large chunk of cash to pay down my mortgage or I would get this. I have a similar set up on a stock motor and it really goes.
The real treat with this car is its a sleeper -
Wish I had the $$.
Would cost 25K to build this.

The only issue I've recently noticed is the power steering pump, this will be replaced by a professional, using an ACDelco pump, before I release it to the new owner (if sold).
The old pump will also be included (should the next owner want it for some reason).

Good catch! That was a GT automatic 88', it's now sold and at its new home. I also sold off my 88' GT 5-speed fiero as well. Neither had a v8, my plan for the automatic was a 3800 series-ll with the 4L80e-HD. The 5-speed car was going to get an LQ1 (DOHC V6). I'd stick with the NSX in your aviator, fieros are "fun", and look sporty, without actually being sports cars. lol

For local prospects, I'll hoping to be at the corvettes and coffee event hosted by "ACE" and "corvetteperformanceaz.com", on the morning of 5th of October (first Saturday of the month). Scottsdale Pavilion is also an option that same night. See ya there!

Thanks Joe! I've enjoying this car very much, and for the price, it's tough to find anything comparable. I know it's not really the "right" season (most people are preparing for the holidays), but I figure I'd generate some exposure until tax season!
