Does anyone have any ideas on shipping for a vette, 1000 miles?
You're look between .75-1.00 a mile. You'll still be saving many many thousands, if you were to try to build it from a stock car.

Some vendors actually go better than .75-1.00 per mile. It's like a bidding site, but the vendors are bidding for your contract.

With that said, I have evidence of receipts demonstrating well over $25,000 in parts and labor EXCLUDING the cost of the car itself. This thing cannot be replicated for this price.

Thats what I was saying. I'm at near 12k and I haven't even lifted the hood yet, plus my car is only a LT1. Even with the shipping, he'll be saving a BUTT load of cash buying yours over trying to duplicate your car. ( I was giving him a good point for the wife)

You have a killer car! Real great deal for the new buyer. GLWS

lol, good luck with the effort. I have some good news, I just got some fresh belts, an idler pulley and a power steering pump getting ready to go into the car. Once in, the power steering fluid will be flushed.

Super car! Most likely would have to be my track car out here due to emissions testing.

Thank you for the complements. The emissions questions is a bit more involved, let me explain;

The car was purchased from a CA owner, so it "did" make it through emissions. 96' was the first year for the OBD-ll port inspection. So, technically, this car will pass emissions (as it has in AZ as well). Because the OBD-ll port determines the system is ok, and working properly. With that's said, if a visual inspection had to take place, it's game over. It has long tube (non EGR) headers, and the EGR system has been deleted. The vehicle currently has an "off road" x-pipe (no catalytic converters). It did have cat's in place during local emissions inspection. Long tube headers are legal outside CA.

Anyone looking for affordable transport shipping call John at 702-279-2836 (Dealers Auto Transport. I had a 1973 shipped here from FL for $1200.00 (2400 miles) 06 H3 Hummer shipped for $1400.00 from NC (2435 miles) Just had a 1993 shipped for $1300 from SC (2200 miles) and I am waiting on a 1994 Corvette to be picked up in the Austin area.

Call John and he will get you hooked up....Tell him Karsten sent you and he might work harder.

(note they are all lic, bonded, insured and I have nothing to do with them)

Thank you for the lead on a reputable shipping company. I *DO NOT endorse these guys, and I haven't worked with/for them.

I encourage any serious buyer to do their own research of any shipping company.

www.uship.com is also a nice way to compare hundreds of companies and their track record.

The rebuilt (stock casing used) power steering pump is back in the car, new belts, and new idler pulley are also in. Also had a local shop do a power steering flush. All good as new.

I have a guy based out of El Paso that has shipped my '03 Z06 twice due to military moves. He has good prices and you get to skip the Uship fee's. Just PM me, he's based out of El Paso and has a pretty flexible schedule.

Intercity Van Lines is the only car transport I ever or will ever use, they do an awsome job. Transporter for all of Jay Lenos cars also, so that should tell you something of there service

The cheapest is not always the better way to go folks!!

I have been watching this and I sure as hell don't need a 4th Corvette. That said the car is awesome. I Google Mapped it and you are less than 800 miles away....Could be great road ride for GF or a friend of mine.

I have to wait to see if Savage Arms comes back with another PO after the 1st of the year.

When I bought the car from the last owner (who lived in Los Angeles), I flew in, filled up the tank, and drove back to Phoenix. Averaged about 23mpg doing 85mph or better the entire way. The only reservation I would have is the current (super soft compound) Mickey Thompson ET street-II radials. But people on "The Horsepower - Power Tour" run thousands of miles on similar tires. Not to mention, I drove the car home on the 10+ year old previous tires myself.
