FOR SALE: 1986 Coupe (slightly) modded; car in NJ
Hi NJ/NY CF peeps (or anyone close by), it's time for me to relinquish the hold on my loved C4!
I bought it in '97 as a second owner, and have been enjoying it ever since. Replaced many parts throughout the years + upgraded many items to better/aftermarket parts. I have the clean title in my hands. NJ inspection good until October 2014, and have always passed without any big issue.
But, time for us to part.
Asking price is $3500, with wiggle room for my CF peeps of course.
PM me for more info, or ask in this thread.
Some Specs below (the good):
- 5.7 Liter Chevrolet Small Block V8 Engine, aluminum heads
- 700R4 4 Speed Automatic Transmission with high stall torque converter installed (service always done by pro tranny shop I trust)
- Power window/power steering/power lock/power brakes/Power mirrors
- RD Racing Camber Brace for the front suspension
- Aluminium air-intake Air Foil in the intake tube
- Performance Suspension Technology Poly suspension bushings
- Stainless steel braided brake lines on all four wheels
- Azev 5-spoke silver wheels custom drilled for this car (17 X 9.5), tires in 275-40-17
- Cut air filter lid
- K&N air filter
- Cut MAF screen
- 180 degree thermostat
- Random Technology catalytic converter
- Borla STAINLESS STEEL mufflers with twin ZR1 muffler tips (will outlast all of us)
- STAINLESS STEEL rear muffler Y-pipes (will last forever)
- CS-144 Delco Remy type high output alternator, made by Quick Start Automotive Electric
- Cobra radar detector wired into the map light circuit right below the rearview mirror; that sucker actual works well!
- Koni shocks
Disclosure (the bad):
- Currently Plasti-Dipped, you can peel off and repaint if you wish
- Mileage unknown, odometer broke at 126K miles, best guesstimate at around 200K
- Tires fine for Summer/Fall, will need replacment for Winter
- Weatherstrip looks bad, but have not leaked in rain
- Past owner installed tacky wood interior panels painted in silver, I just left it alone. It's removable
- One anti-lock brake sensor is bad, I don't know which one, regular brakes are 100% functional
- Passenger lock sticks sometimes
I will include as much of my own knowledge base as I can find that'll help your ownership: printouts, diagrams, shop manual, books, etc.
