FS - 1996 Grand Sport #470 - Twin Cities, MN
I’ve decided to put my 1996 Grand Sport up for sale. The only reason I’m selling is because I’ve gotten the itch for a C6 Z06. My GS is a Z51, black interior car and is #470 of 1000. I’ve owned it since the summer of 2000. It was purchased with 29,000 miles and now it has 49,000 miles. Adult owned (I was in my mid 30s when I got it) and only used for recreational use on nice days. I’ve been caught in the rain probably 5 times. Car has always been kept in my attached garage.
All original paint, never damaged. Paint is in excellent condition, with only the typical minor blemishes you would expect on a car that gets driven for recreational use with this number of miles. Interior is in very good condition with minor cosmetic wear on the outside bolster on the driver’s seat.
Upgrades/updates/extras:
LT4 Hot Cam
52mm BBK throttle body
K&N air filter / open lid cover
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
TPIS ceramic coated long-tube headers
Corsa exhaust (car does NOT have catalytic converters installed)
Dyno tuned by Doug Rippie himself (http://dougrippie.com) – 362RWHP/346RWTQ
Targa Truss
Fitted flannel cover
Water pump has been replaced
Optispark has been replaced
DeWitts all aluminum radiator (no plastic tanks)
Original full exhaust system and manifolds are included if you want them.
The car does need new front tires (rear tires have lots of tread), but I feel it’s priced accordingly to allow the new owner the opportunity to choose a set of tires that is best suited to how they want to use the car.
The power antennae doesn’t work (hasn’t since I got the car) and the backup light switch needs to be replaced. Otherwise, everything works.
I have a copy of the DRM dyno sheet and Carfax report I got before I purchased the car.
Asking $21,000
You can email me at gs470@comcast.net if interested.
Thanks for looking.
Todd

Oh no! Todd, say it isn't so! That is a gorgeous car, but at least you are replacing it with another vette.
It's been a while since I've seen this car, but knowing Todd, it is in tip top shape. Great car waiting for a new home. Good luck with the sale sir.

Hey Chris! Good to hear from you and thanks for the commentary on the car. It still looks and runs great. Putting it up for sale wasn't taken lightly, but it's just time for a change. However, it's not the end of the world if I end up keeping it.
