Default 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 40th Anniversary

27587 Miles!

1993 40th Anniversary Model Information:

· The 40th anniversary Corvette was a limited edition run of the 1993 model. Total production for all 1993 Corvettes was 21,590 vehicles. A total of 6,749 cars were produced with the 40th anniversary package which is labeled as the Z25 option. This option package retailed for $1,455 and included special ruby red paint, red seats and exterior emblems. The Z25 option was available on both the convertible and coupe models. Less than 250 ZR-1 models were ordered with the Z25 package, making it a favorite of collectors.

Drive Train and Suspension

· The base model of the 40th anniversary edition was equipped with the LT1 engine while the LT5 was used in the ZR-1 The LT1 produces 305 horsepower from its 5.7-liter displacement engine. The compression ratio of the LT1 is 10.4:1, producing 330 ft.-lbs. of torque and reaching red-line at 5,700 RPM. The LT5 generates 400 horsepower and produces 385 ft.- lbs. of torque .The LT5 has a red-line of 7200 RPM and a compression ratio of 11:1. A six-speed transmission was an option while the 700r4 automatic transmission came standard. Both models have an independent suspension to produce excellent handling characteristics.

Optional Features

Additional features could be added to the Z25 anniversary package to build a car tailored to the owner's specifications. The FX3 selective ride option was a popular addition as it allowed the owner to choose how firmly the car would ride. The G92 performance axle option was often ordered by owners for track racing. The Z07 package was the performance suspension upgrade, another popular feature with racers. Two sound system upgrades were available, both manufactured by Bose.

Power

· The 1993 Corvette convertible and coupe came equipped with a 5.7-liter (350 cubic inches) V8 engine, which develops a 10.5 to1 compression ratio to garner 300 horsepower. The torque is rated at 340 ft.-lbs. The bore and stroke are 4 inches and 3.48 inches, respectively. A six-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission delivers the power to the wheels. The Corvette's is 17 mpg in the city and 25 in highway driving.

I read and re-read this ad. I'm still confused .

So it has the LT1 or the LT5?
It has the FX3 , G92 , Z07 option?
Which of the 2 Bose upgrades does it have?

ha as a senior member im guessing you no and are pointing out the vague ad, in case you really dont no,
a tach only going up to 6k rpm means it has the LT1, a Z would have a tach going to 8.
there is no dial between the seat adjusters so it doesnt have the Fx3
the slit in the radio up top mean sit has the cd player, so the upgraded cd/cassette bose system.

the other 2 RPO's i cant tell by the pictures but im sure someone more experienced with c4's can tell you

That car is an LT1 for sure......LT5 would never have an automatic transmission.....Nice car though....

Default 1993 Anniversary edition?????

Going to Look at a 93 which the owner (6th) says is a Anniversary edition with 54K miles, Black with gray interior, removable top, at, THE CRUISE DOESN'T WORK, and it has a Virginia title with REBUILT marked on it.

Wife stopped today to look at it and take pictures for me, battery dead so she couldn't listen to it.

I am not that familiar with the 1993 C4 so my questions to you experts are:

a. Is black a color for the Anniversary edition?
b. Any idea what a REBUILT marked title is?
c. Is this an Opti Spark model and is it something I should avoid?
d. Is the engine in this model the standard engine or an upgrade?
e.What are the options for an Anniversary Edition not on a Base?
f. Are these C4's good and comfortable for a 3-4 day trip?

Thanks for your help and Thanks to my fellow veterans for their service.

No. Only ruby red

Most likely damaged then rebuilt.

Yes. And yes. I'm on my 4th opti in the last 2-3 years on my 93

Lt1 standard

6 way power seats both sides, sport seats both sides, 40th logo on sides

Depends on confort. Compare it to a new car, probably not, I love the sports seats

All 1993 have 40th logo seats, but only ruby red 93s are the Anniversary edition.

Rpo code z25.

The rest of those options were avaliable on all cars but the Anniversary edition package includes them.

Wouldnt touch a rebuilt title....car could be Ok but when it comes to sell time people may get scared off.
Check with your ins co too before you buy.
If it every shows salvaged some wont insure at all.

I have a 40th Ruby, and had to replace the Opti but chose a upgraded unit from https://msdperformance.com/ . MSD has a plug in and play unit but with venting and stainless timing plates, has been in since 1997 and not failed. Placing the opti spark so close to the water pump and not venting meant humidity problems from the get go, or worse.
