Owner History:
The first owner of the car owned it until 28,000 miles in 2003. He was located in New Jersey and I have his original ad. From the description he gave, to say the car was babied would be an understatement.
The second owner, owned the car from 2003 until 2012 when I purchased it from him this past spring. At the time of purchase the car had 32,9xx miles on it. He had purchased a C6 last summer and needed to sell the car. I also have a writeup from him vouching for the ownership history.
I have the window sticker, both manuals, some brochures and few other novelty items.
Maintenance History
New Serpentine Belt 4/2012
New plugs/wires 4/2012
Intake Manifold gasket replaced 4/2012
Hydraulic Clutch fluid replaced 4/2012
Transmission fluid replaced 4/2012
New tires 4/2013
New water pump 4/2013
Front crank seal 4/2013
New GM Opti 4/2013
New front pads/rotors turned 4/2013
Rear end fluid changed 4/2013
Oil changed 4/2013
Condition
I would rate the car as an 8.5 out of 10. Overall, it is in fantastic shape, but it has been driven. There are a few chips here and there, and the wheels could be refurbished. The interior is like new, other than some wear on the driver's seat bolster. The top has no rips or any signs of age at this point. Everything on the car works with the exception of the dash vents, which are due to loose vacuum lines on the HVAC programmer. I plan to fix this in the coming weeks as it is a common issue and there is documentation on how to repair.
All gears for the manual transmission work flawlessly and it shifts with ease.
Thanks,
Dave

I have seen a lot of CE's for sale on here, but have yet to see an LT4 CE vert with red interior. It gets a lot of attention and is a great car.

This is a good car and still is priced well. I considered it earlier this year as a "book-end" to my 96 CE LT4 Red gut coupe - good luck with the sale!

They just aren't the same, and to get in into a ZR1 you are also looking at going at least a couple of years older.

Drove the car from Indianapolis, IN to Cincinnati, OH to Champaign, IL and back to Indianapolis last Sunday and Monday.
Total trip was just short of 550 miles, and averaged 25.2 MPG. Car ran great and wouldn't hesitate to do the same trip with it again.

, that's a beautiful Vette, for certain.
I also agree that a C4 ZR-1 buyer probably wouldn't be interested in this Vette, but more importantly, a person looking for an LT4 probably wouldn't be interested in a ZR-1. So it's not like they'd look at this LT4 and say to themself, "you know, I think I'd really rather have that 1991 ZR-1 I was looking at."
When I was searching for mine, I briefly considered a C4 ZR-1, but decided the LT4 made more sense for me. The LT4 equipped Vette has awesome performance in its own right, and I think it can out-handle the ZR-1, since it weighs less, around 150 lbs, or so? So it has a better HP to weight ratio? I don't have the numbers in front of me, so I'm not sure. I'd bet the LT4 is not as fast in a straight line, though.
Also, the LT4 comes without as great of a potential difficulty in finding inexpensive parts when compared to the LT5. My Corvette mechanic said he wouldn't have any problem getting parts for the ZR-1, but they would no doubt cost more.
Since I bought my LT4 back in January of 2010, I've seen C4 ZR-1 asking prices steadily drop, while the LT4 hasn't dropped as much, if at all (at least not around here.) I think I made the right choice, and suspect the lucky person that buys this Vette will feel the same way.
