Default WTB C4 around MD for around 3k

Looking to buy a C4 for around $3,000. I am in Maryland near Annapolis so around here (within 100 miles) would be best. Any year or condition will be considered. Has to be drive-able, automatic is preferred.
Thanks,
Andrew

Might not be quite what you're looking for, but I'm still looking to sell my '84.

I think I remember seeing that on ebay, that is a nice vette, you have put a lot of work into it. It is more then I am willing to pay however, good luck with the sale though, I'm surprised it hasn't been bought.

There's a C4 coupe for sale near me. It runs and doesn't look half bad, I believe they are asking somewhere between 3-4K for the car. I will grab the phone number the next time I drive by and post it up here for you.

Thanks for the link Y-ME!

I'm now in the struggle of deciding how long to wait to buy one always hoping a better one will pop up or if I should just pull the trigger now.

Id save up some more i dont think your going to get anything nice in that price range.
5=6k can get you a high mile's but in pretty good shape.
The cost to fix a vette is quite high with the vette tax and all...
So it's better to pay that few extra k for something soild, then pay 3 r 4 k fixing it down the road.
For example http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4s-...rlando-fl.html
Nice car high miles only 6k and no worries.

one thing to keep in mind when you are looking for a cheap vette is if you have to replace seats be ready to spend 700-1000 door panels are about 350-450 each, doesnt take long to spend alot of money fixing one. The corvette tax is harsh!!! Good luck with the search.

Thanks for the advice guys. Ya my search has been meeting a lot of dead ends. I know for the price I'm willing to pay I'll have to put a lot more money into it, I was just hoping to find one that needed some body work and interior work that I could live with for awhile and fix down the road. I may have to hold out until I can get some more cash, but I'm still hoping I get lucky lol.

In most cases not all of course, if you get something that is 3k, just that fact alone can could potentially require to dump thousands in parts or maintenance cost. If you can do your own labor then it is not so bad.

Good luck.
BTW I see some guy here offering them up, i would rather choose a car from a guy here than just any old C4, in many cases the car might have some history here.
