I bought this car bone stock about a year ago, and have built it into a track day car, with the eventual plan to build a full on race car, to run on road courses (I'm not a drag racer). I have basically run out of money now that it needs engine work, and can't finish the project. I will sell it ***CHEAP*** as a rolling chassis (motor in place but needs work). Car is located in Redondo Beach, California.
C4 Corvette -- LT4 motor, 6-speed manual Safety equipment:
- Heavy duty 4-point rollbar
- Sparco Sprint V racing seat
- Simpson 5-point harness
- Fire Extinguisher Performance and longevity Mods:
- C5 Z06 rear wheels 18" x 10.5" at all four corners
- Nitto NT-01 315/30/18 at all four corners -- some wear but good amount of life left
- Car completely gutted of everything unnecessary to run on track (although it is still registered and insured) -- took out over 300 lbs., so it now weighs under 3,000 lbs.
- Spec III+ Clutch and lightweight flywheel (new--only 2 track days)
- Raybestos racing brake pads -- almost new
- Guldstrand oversized racing radiator
- Canton large baffled racing oil pan (to avoid oil starvation)
- Racing power steering pump and large metal reservoir
- Sealed racing battery (new) -- moved to rear of car for better weight distribution What's wrong with it?
- Blown head gasket and knocking sound (not too bad) from bearings -- LT4 probably needs a rebuild or you could buy it as a rolling chassis and install a new motor
- Has base suspension -- needs significant suspension work to be a serious track car
MAKE ME AN OFFER!!!
Don't be afraid, you can even make a low-ball offer (I may say no, but I won't be insulted).
This photo is before we stripped over 300 lbs. out of the car, although it looks pretty much the same from the outside.

How close to "roadworthy" is it? (not counting the engine work). i.e. are all lights, gauges, etc still functional?, is the interior gutted?.
Thanks
Sara Lou
All lights work. I kept everything you need to drive it on the street. Except windshield wipers -- we use Rain-X on the windshield which works well in the rain.
The car is still registered and insured and I drive it on the street, but I would not call it "comfortable." Interior gutted including doors -- windows don't roll up and down, they just bolt in and out. Gauges work except speedo, and I think that might just be a cable or fuse--it only stopped working recently.
Thanks for that info Richard. Sorry, its a little too high price for a "roller" for my taste. I've seen a few local cars needing 'small amount of tlc' for less that I am looking into.
