87 Coupe Toledo High rise hood, Custom paint. Jensen Beach, Florida
It has to go, can't sit on it any longer, $5000 cash takes it.
Car is located in Jensen Beach, Florida.
1987 Coupe- Custom Black Paint with Saddle Leather Interior, A/C all power accessories & Fully Optioned.
I have owned this car for the past 12 years and am the second owner. I have the original window sticker, books, all paperwork, extra steering wheel, extra canvas “corvette” seat covers, extra set of front carpets and original front bumper plate & other Misc stuff.
I have $35k + invested in this car with every receipt categorized and documented. I also have a notebook that details dates, work performed & cost.
I suspect the engine recently spun a bearing. Car still starts easily and drives but is now sitting under cover in my garage. Car was never raced, started it to go to work and and thought i had developed an exhaust leak. Mechanic suspects bearing somewhere. I was going to fix it but a c-5 literally fell into my lap so I have decided to let this one go.
As you can see from the pics the car is in “excellent” condition and loved all its life. Someone with mechanical knowledge and a little time will get a great car.
Mods & Upgrades
Engine: 5.7 Liter L-98 Engine rebuilt to 355 C.I. in late 2004 (currently 30k on engine). Decked heads with upgraded cam. New reprogrammed chip. DynoTuned with upgraded fuel injectors.

To this point this has been the most dependable vette I have owned.
Transmission: Built 700R4 Automatic with custom “STREET EDGE” 2800 Stall converter & B&M Street Kit. Rear end gear is the factory sport gear.
Suspension: Z-52 Upgraded polyurethane bushings & KYB shocks.
Brakes: Drilled & Slotted rotors, RUSSELL stainless brake lines. Low dust ceramic pads.
Wheels/Tires: 1986 wheels never curbed with Mirada 255/50-16 tires.
Interior: 6-way power sport seats, new leather and foams (some of the switches need work, but have replaced the bezels). NEW complete door panels. Carpet is 5/10. Have extra front carpets, new leather shift boot, carbon fiber shift **** & original shift ****, Kenwood head unit, Kenwood 6x9 rear speakers & JBL 6” door mounted speakers.

Bump for a good buy. Someone with a little mechanical know-how should jump on this.

Thanks everyone. My mechanic is not sure exactly which bearing. He suspects maybe a cam bearing. He dropped the pan, said the bottom end looked good.
Ronnie, my original idea was get into a mechanics class at my local college and fix it myself just to get the experience of it, but my business demands 12-14 hour days right now.
Anyone should feel free to call me at anytime on this if they want more info.
I have too much blood equity into her and really want to see her go to a good home.

Ronnie, I recieved your email saying you want me to hold the car and that you will call me, please feel free to give me a ring for more info. It is a first come first served offering.
As far as the bearing goes my mechanic suspects rear cam bearing. I am not going to have him go any further into the motor as far as diagnosis than that, I don't have the time or energy due to my work schedule and have decided just to sell instead.
If anyone else is interested i can be reached via phone or email at bodylogix@bellsouth.net
