Default My C5 for your C4

Well I just made a career change and need to get out from underneath my loan on the C5.

I Live in Northern VT so it being December you'd have to be some what close to me. Car is stored in my heated garage so can be looked @ in comfort .

Here's a link to my CL ad

If only you were closer to Orlando Florida - I would certainly consider negotiation on such a trade. I love the navy blue, but VT is just a bit to far away for me since my wife is 9+ months pregnant. Good luck!

So you're looking for just the motor and trans...for a project i assume? I have a 92 vert with an auto trans ( sorry, no manual) The tranny was replaced 5 years ago but has little milage on it (weekend car). car needs a paint job, but I've been contemplating what to do...paint it, sell it...keep it. Has the same milage as yours. Are you stuck on the manual trans?

I'm actually just looking to get out from underneath my C5 but still have a Vette in the garage . Can you describe why it needs paint ? i really don't have the xtra $ at the moment to paint a car but would like to hear the problems the paint has. It's not a must that I have a manual but I would much rather have. The 91 I owned before the C5 was a Auto and since the C5 i realized how much I enjoy the M6.

The clear coat is falling off it. It runs great, has a kicking stereo, new tires wheels, hell a lot of new stuff, glass, brakes. I put a lot into it but just don't know if its worth a paint job. Ny prices are a little crazy for paint. You looking to transplant a motor and tranny in yours?

Well it certainly is a driver. If I could find someone to paint it for $3500.00 it would be well worth it. I don't know if Vt has cheaper prices, I ski there all the time and the place ain't cheap!!

I'd like to thank you for the offer. I have this thread posted in a few different places ( sites and local) and wanna see what people have out there to offer for a car.

Thanks again and maybe we'll talk in the future ,

What do you feel the value of your car for purposes of calculation?

I haven't really thought about the value of my car to tell ya the truth. i know I purchased it last Oct (2008) for around 16,000.00 and have put about 2000.00-3000.00 into it since I've owned it( Vararam, Cat-back, tires, Chuck cow tune, dynomat insulation, MGW shifter ( new style), C6 Sway-bars and Metal end-links, C6 Shocks and i'm sure theres more that I have forgotten. Value though is a good question that I really don't know the answer to. I guess I would have put more thought into that if i was looking to sell it out right but I'm not @ this time.

I have a nice LT4 that runs like a top, handles like a dream, and is in for the winter in my garage. Your deal on the surface sounds interesting; however your car has 85K as opposed to 48K on my car, and you want money as part of the deal. Are you stuck on the amount or does is it contigent on the condition of the C4? I included an old photo. Car now has a number of upgrades, check my profile for them, I think they're there.
