Default 96 Grand Sport $14,400117K PA 15642

1996 Corvette Grand Sport 117K miles Typical Blue with white stripe paint. Engine bay is so clean you could eat off it! Engine bay looks new condition 10! Overall paint condition is good with one area showing fading paint condition is 6. Int is black in color with no wear marks on seats. Overall inside condition is a 9. Mechanically excellent running condition with only the need of a new brake boster.

Plans were to replace the window seals, repaint, and have the wheels refinished and sell for a profit. Due to growing family I'm unable to complete and must sell now. This car is worth $17,000 as it sits so I will not go any lower than $14,400.

Email me to arange to look at the car @ mmillen@markone-design.com

Need to sell NOW!

I drove 6 hours and inspected this car years ago.
You really should be more honest about this car.

I drove your car in Irmo, SC at JimHudsonToyota.

Why was the ENTIRE CAR painted by the equivalent of a Maaco and the underside of the hood painted black and shiny? Why is the front bumper all gappy?

It's not the same car huh? Check out the front bumper from these photos from 2008 at Jim Hudsons.

You really should be more honest about this car. I drove 6 hours in one day to check it out and walked away and at that time selling price was in the low teens and 20% less mileage.

Clear title, or salvage/rebuilt?

To make it show condition the wheels would need refinished, repaint the body, replace the window seals, and the brake boster. the asking price reflects the issues as stated in the original post.

So what are the issues? if you drove my car tell me about it? Where did you drive it? you do know they made more than one of these right?

I have a serious interest in this car, in spite of the drama flying back and forth.
My question has not been answered. Is the title on this car clear?
Or is it a salvage, or rebuilt car?
What number Grand Sport is this?

Dude GET OFF MY POST! I listed the clean carfax above all the manufacturer maintenance was completed. No insurence claim filed. If accedent value exceeds 1000 it must be listed on carfax.

Anyway anyone that was to buy this car would come look at it.

Default I can see it in the pics

I'm way far away from both folks involved in the drama here, but I have been luckly enough at my advanced age to have been blessed with a keen eye on bodywork. I can see the gappiness referred to in the photo as well as evidence of repaint. If you know what to look for (don't ask me to explain) you can tell from decent quality photos. I suspect our Florida colleague is correct, but it is clear, to me at least, that this car has had a front end accident and repaint.

I am pretty tough (honest) sometimes on folks in this forum in private, telling them them things they may not want to hear if they are dreamers on price, but the reason I look to buy here is the integrity I have found. I believe people who say things here. I may disagree on price, but I generally never question their integrity. It is possible the owner here does not know something, but that is the seller I am hesitant about. I would pay 5-10% more for a forum car than anywhere else because people are honest. I hope it is always that way

The car has 117K on the paint there is newer paint on just about every panel. The hood opens fine. I will measure the gap on the hood. Please understand as I said this care is price low per its current condition. I know there was never any major damage to this car. Can someone local please come take a look at it so this will stop.

I am new to Vettes and I certainly am no body man but the above pic show the uneven gap pretty darn clear.

Default ease back, bro

Current owner just as likely purchased without benefit of knowing what xcelr8 found and has shared the Carfax and pics with us. Dang, man...why assume he was trying to get over? It would have been far kinder and more appropriate to contact him privately with any concerns and info you had. IMO the car-bashing posts crossed the line.

GLWS. Even with flaws, every car has a price point and this one may be in the ballpark for what it is (and for what it isn't).

I just went and measured it the gap is a 1/16" diff. Come look if its not I will give it away. Please stop acting like this car is an R title! if it didnt have high miles and need some paint I would be asking 20K. Look around and find ANY GS for under 15K buy it. Car as is if you want to come take a look at it fine. if you want one show room condition pay the extra $15K!

Dude your so full of **** look at the date when this car had 100K miles and when it was traded in. I know you think you know your **** but a hood gap is no tell tell sign that the car was crashed. and if it was the title is clean. it needs paint yes i said that first thing. now kiss my ---- right on the tip!

These two pics are of the same car. One pic was posted by the seller and the other by a CF member who says that he inspected the car a year ago.

Same car, IMO. Scratches on the front license insert are exactly the same. No brainer. I suspect that the seller may not know everything there is to know about the car BEFORE he purchased it.

Good luck on the sale. Not a bad price for someone just wanting a GS and can do some of the cosmetics himself. I'd buy it at that price if I could.

Let's review the facts:

I said the cars were Identical- True
I said the car was in an accident but you disagree - True (Carfax proves it-Accident reported on 08/14/2006. )
The car has been repainted which you didn't disclose until later in the thread. - True
