Our body shop has an 84 that was abandoned. Clear Texas title ready to sell. It was in for a nice paint job, he never showed, so its going..
Car sat for 7 years prior, was towed to us. I drained gas tank, fluids, disconnected the starter disable fuse as it was acting up. Put a new battery in and it started right up.
Most of the vacuum lines are old and leaking, idles about 1800. No real miss or blow by. Exhaust smells somewhat rich, but havent done plugs or cut cat off since it problably is not great or mufflers from sitting. Has spare still in it (tire and assembly i mean)
GLass is perfect
Body was excellent, no cracks or wrecks.
We 2k'ed it and he stopped contact, never paid deposit, finally reached him during lien request and he just gave it to us. Apparently got it for trading something.
Wheels are the correct ones with almost new tires. It drives, stops, not taken it past 35mph though.
Dash doesnt work, computer trip and command center does though. WIndows are hit or miss. All electrical works except drivers headlight motor gears are stripped.
Ac compressor not locked up, but no freon in it, lines do not look like leaked or rotted though. coolant was not filled with mud or grime either, nor was oil.
Trans seems to shift ok, but a small pan leak, and it SAT for 7 years, so no gaurantee on it.
It was red/red. Now painted rally red, a decent paint job, we have not cut and buffed it out yet. No peel, so nibs here and there but will look nice.
Front clip is perfect and strong, all panels are, a good start really.
Interior is in shambles. Seats the covers and foam wore out, drivers door panel fell apart. Dash has one long crack in front of driver, other than that its good. Console easily redyable/restorable.
Suspension still feels tight with wheels up in air, no big noises on drive around. Glass top has a hole in it, we were going to make it into a solid top with glass and paint/headliner.
Owner of shop is looking for 3000 as it sits. I dont know mileage due to dash being out. Motor doesnt smoke or make noises, but I cant tell you its history. I would expect at the least fluid flushes a while, clean and rebuild tbi's, some gaskets, valve lash run through, seafoams, tune up, new vacuum lines, trans flush and fill, brake flush, maybe valve seals, it did sit, they are problably brittle, but no smoke on start up so far and starting it alot to look at it.
So 3000 gets you a clean rolling body that runs and drives and needs alot of interior cosmetics and at least a good mechanical freshening. The crossfire is not super powerful of course, but it is all original which will mean something years from now.
If no interest will just take calls on parts in a week and start cutting it apart. We do need room actually, been sitting on it a few months deciding on avenue. They are not super desirable now even though they handle well, and we dont think putting 3000 into it we would get 6-7000 back right now.
So I think its a fair starting price for original wheels, good tires, original driveline, clean strong body withshiny new red paint, lots of lots of great things on it, just sat.
281 703 6287. Welcome to come look at it, prefer local to buy it so they can see it, but will assit any out of town with any and all info they need.
I am going to take pics tomorrow and load on a photo bucket site this weekend.
Please call with questions between 8am and 5pm M-F Texas time.

sold as is, where is, no warranty, BUT I will warranty that all descriptions here and by phone are accurate and true or will pay your gas to look at it and time for travel. I do not wish to waste yours or my time.
Its an auto. I cleaned plugs, replace some vacuum lines and seafoamed motor and fuel system. It idles normal now, a little tiny miss, but it also has old wires, cap, rotor, plugs, etc. It runs strong, shifts decent, not super firm, but not slipping either. It spins the tires actually. Stops pretty good, handles alright, but tires are hard. Havent touched it as far as doing interior work, its still sitting for sale as an interior needed project. It has alot of interior pieces, but butt ugly and most needing replaced.
Hope that helps any questions.
