Default F/S: 1993 LT1 Corvette, Targa, White/Tan, 92k, stock, Portland OR

I've had this car for about a year and a half. I'm an out of work student and I can't afford it!
It is in fair condition.

I have $2074 dollars in receipts for maintenance work I've done on it since I got it, plus receipts from the last owners, and a Carfax printout.

It is mostly stock. I have put about 10,000 miles on it since I bought it.

I am asking $6500! Kelly Blue Book says its worth $8920, and I paid $9700, but I feel thats a little high, plus I really need to get rid of it for financial reasons-I'd rather finish school than keep the car.

Here are the basics:

-1993
-about 92,000 miles
-40th Anniversary year/seat stitching
-Arctic White
-smoked glass targa top
-tan leather interior
-cruise control, air conditioning
-Aluminum "sawblade" wheels
-LT1 engine (350 c.i., 300 hp, 340 ft/lb tq)
-6-speed manual transmission (ZF, Black Tag German-made)
-255/45R17 front, wider 285/40R17 rear wheels
-power windows, seats, auto climate control, Bose stereo
-has K&N air filter (stock replacement)
-has aftermarket BBK larger throttle body (not sure if its a 52mm or 58mm)
-has original spare, jack & wrench, targa top tool, and manual (some pages loose), + a full Haynes manual I bought
I have the maintenance records for this car from 2003 until present.

Under my ownership, these items have been changed:

-new AC Delco ignition coil, plus cleaned up ICM sink and offset off head
-new Tokico sport shocks all around
-engine oil (Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5W-30)
-engine oil filter (Wix)
-fuel filter (Wix)
-transmission/gearbox fluid (BMW synthetic, recommended by ZF)
-rear differential fluid (GM factory fill)
-brake fluid (GM factory fill)
-new passenger side power window motor
-rebuilt engine control module (ECM) by Cardone

The bad:

-some wear on driver side leather seat
-a few paint dings or scratches
-cd player no longer works (cassette/radio/antenna work fine. I pulled the entire stereo out, so its in boxes)
-weather stripping is aged
-needs new tires

If you have any questions, or would like additional photos, please reply by email (sirwhite4@hotmail.com). If you have questions and might like to view the car, please call me (Frank) at 610.223.7820.

How bad is the optispark issue right now? Symptoms? Can it make a cross country trip?

Hi RC!

Thanks for the question.

The problem only surfaces when the car is hot. I keep the oil temperature reading on my digital display, and when the oil temps get around 200F and above, the car begins to miss or cut out during acceleration. This problem is pronounced on hot summer days. I still drive it around town on short errands. Cross-country? I don't know. It might stay cool at highway speeds, it might not. If you are very interested, I would try to be as accommodating as possible to work things out!

I have been looking for an arctic white, I wish I was closer! The opti spark is not a major repair. Time consuming, yes, but not hard.

You can get GM for $150 if you are patient. Search Ebay.

Sounds more like an ignition module or a bad coil. They are both relatively cheap, very easy to replace, and available at Autozone.

top! repaired ignition problem-I put on a new AC Delco coil, cleaned up the heatsink for the ICM, put new thermal heat paste between the two, and offset it off the head with 4 washers!

still asking $6,500.

I also re-located the battery to the right rear storage compartment well, but I can reverse that back to factory easily if preferred. as noted in op, I also removed all the stereo components, and they are in boxes.
