This car was built in Bowling Green, KY as a Race Car. GM engineers knew the weak spots of the C4 frame so before they sent it to BakerRacing they rewelded certain spots on the frame and covered them. It ran SSGT in the SCCA Escort Endurance series very successfully winning most of the races it entered. In fact, this car and a few others prepared by BakerRacing dominated the race scene so much that the Corvette Challenge series was formed. This was due to the fact that SCCA outlawed  the Corvette from Club Racing in the Late 80's. It holds the record in SSGT on two tracks; one in Michigan and the other at Pocono International. :yesnod:
The car was updated with: Adjustable Koni Shock, Larger Anti-Sway bars, Heavier Springs, Solid Bushings, Braided Brake Lines, Larger Brakes, Power Steering Cooler, Transmission Cooler, 17" wheels all around (ZR-1 style), A completely new roll cage was installed two years ago., A special cooling package was engineered to keep the Brakes cool - the air enters the front facia and is ducted directly into the brake rotor., Special BakerRacing cooling system- car never runs hot!, We trimmed more than 300 pounds off the car during the update. Asking $17,500 (will negotiate).. Pics available upon request (email me: racingfast@yahoo.com)
