Thanks Salty - but not having an original/core, they seemed kinda pricey:

"$645 exchange/ $750 new . You may pick up here. Blu and brz same price. Core for exchange must have undamaged frame."

BUT I found an original GM smoke top on an '84 at a local salvage yard. Frame and weatherstripping and condition is EXCELLENT. $300.

Only issues are a couple scratches on the top - I've tried everything from Biily Mays specials to everything off the shelf at Autozone. NONE of that $hit works.

So I am living with the "minor" appearance issue until I find "THE CURE".
