Default Sincere Value Q for 96 Grand Sport convertible red int.

Guys. I have found a 67 BB I would like to purchase. I have not seen any red int GS convertibles sell recently. I am thinking of selling this car to help with the 67 purchase. Any guesses as to what this car might be worth in todays market? 33,300 miles excellent cond. Thanks in advance.

Here is the car.

Roger's Corvettes in Florida just sold their 5,000 mile red interior GS vert for around $69,000.

Thanks 0012. I am sure there are lots of "low ballers" out there right now. I assume you like your GS since you still have it. I would like to keep mine and buy the 67 as well but in the current economy I don't want to stretch too far. My # is 272

Ron, I'm not interested in the current prices...

I know of 2 for sale that are less than the miles you have on your car, and bot cars are under $50K...both ragtops with red interior. Both cars have been for sale for a very long time.

I'd rather have the BB car you've found than a GS.

Just my .02, don't shoot the messenger.

Give Roger's a call...they are always buying cars. The GS they just sold took them over a year as well, and they only paid $50K for that car.

The economy sucks, and if somebody is going to drop $50K on a toy like this, they have to front the cash, because no bank is going to give you that kind of coin for a car that "books" at $18-20K.

Thanks for the input.

Actually Roger only paid $45K for that car. I know the guy he bought it from. Made a nice profit on that deal.

The NADA is $42,300 for excellent but I am sure they don't have a lot to go on either.

That's part of the problem on valuing a "collectible car".

I'd love to have your car as I know you have taken great care of it, but I'm not willing to pay the premium they command.

Beautiful GS !!! As the other posters have already submitted their thoughts on pricing.....I too, would agree, with 33K miles, it would be in the neighborhood of $53k-58K...

Good Luck!!

Thanks ZEEMAN

I think I will price it at $56K and see if it will sell fast enough to accomplish what I want.

In this economy I don't hold out a lot of hope though. I would love to have the 67 but staying pat right now isn't to bad either.

That's what he was advertising it for, but what did he sell it for?

If you give Roger's Corvette a call about selling your call, be prepared to hang up in his ear. He was a complete jerk to me about a fully restored car that I had for sale. Badmouthed the car over the phone and had never even seen it. It was a TF/Bloomington Gold car.

He was just trying to get it for nothing. True story.

They all do that. Talked to a "collector car" dealership about my Z when it was for sale. Offered about what I was asking. Few minutes later in the conversation he claims they buy them for 5-6 all day long and wouldnt offer me any more. What a curse to own a pos, should have gave it to him.
Got decent money for it through a PP took a yr though.
