1986 Vette Vert--low miles, extremely nice
This is an EXCELLENT car.
* Original '86 Pace Car convertible, just 61k original miles
* Clean Carfax I'll be happy to send to anyone interested
* Dark Metallic Red--new bc/cc paint and it is just gorgeous, top 2 btm
* Graphite leather interior--showroom condition--leather is beautiful!
* Cold air
* Everything works--Power seat, power mirrors, power antenna, steering, brakes, automatic, digital dash, wipers, horn, etc etc
* Very nice Pioneer satellite CD stereo that sounds good.
* Even the under hood lights still work.
* Original wheels are in MINT condition--nicest I've ever seen.
* Tires are original type Goodyear Eagle ZR50s--not been produced for what, 15 years? Like new tread, which tells you how sparingly this car has been driven.
* Black fabric top in excellent shape.
* Clean, original chassis underneath with no signs of rust or damage.
* Fly-in, drive-home condition.
Speaking of driving--I don't know what it is or how, but this car drives like it's an LT1! It looks completely stock underhood, and I can't see any performance mods, but it is by FAR the strongest early C4 I've ever driven, and I've had at least 6 of them. I'm almost certain the transmission has been tweaked with slightly higher shift points. But seriously, this car must be driven to appreciate how powerful this apparently stock motor is. Drives straight as an arrow at 80 mph down the interstate.
It does have a very few minor nicks and signs that it's 22 years old, but remarkably few. Only non-functioning item I'm aware of is one stereo speaker. No disappointments with this car, inside, outside, or behind the wheel.
PRICE LOWERED TO $12k FIRM. Don't bother with lesser offers, I'll keep it and drive it instead.
I have pics, but don't mess with the free photo accounts due to the spam, junk mail, and general hassle. Happy to email them to anyone wishing to post them here or for their own personal viewing. Sorry for the inconvenience.
But trust me, it's worth it.

I just had nearly $500 worth of leather/interior work done on the interior to make it as nice as possible. The results are outstanding.
Just drove it 70 miles yesterday and it is absolutely a blast....everything working as it should. getting 20 mpg with top down.
I guess this car will go to ebay. I'm not detecting a lot of serious interest here.
Have pics I can email or if someone wants to post them.

Off to ebay it goes, then. You guys are missing out on a great running, well-maintained, beautiful car.
Thanks again for posting the pics, IMA66/74

Price lowered to $12k FIRM.
You guys are missing the boat on an excellent running and beautifully kept Pace Car Vette.
Meanwhile, the car is so fun and tight, I'll just keep driving it. Now at 62k miles.

I appreciate your opinion, and I'm sure some will agree. But if you can find another C4 with low miles that has nice EVERYthing, with nothing broken or non-functioning, no mechanical, cosmetic, or interior issues beyond a chip here or there, and is a convertible Pace Car for less, then I guess you should buy it.
A lot of these cars have not held up well over the years, and it shows in one or more ways when you see and drive them in person. This is not one of those cars. I guess it will just take the right person to recognize that.

Last chance....
I've consigned the car to a collector car auction. It's going one way or the other.
Anyone wanting a really nice convertible that is not a bunch of headaches and is show-worthy will love this car.
I will accept $11,500 until August 16th, at which time I will have to commit to the auction and sell it there.

The collector car auction people pissed me off, so I just listed this car on ebay at NO RESERVE.
It sickens me to just give this thing away, but whatever it brings it brings. Anyone wanting a very nice '86 Pace Car with low miles and no issues should be bidding on this car.
Just do a routine search for 1986 corvette or my user ID: kcturbodug

What happened to keeping it to drive... and not being bothered with low ball offers?

I personnally like the car at what price not really sure. Maybe 9,000 is a good number.
Good luck with the sale anyway.

2 days left. This is definitely a "fly in, drive home anywhere" kind of car. No disappointments, especially at whatever the final price ends up being.
