91 ZR1 F/S Red/Red 42K "Fire Sale"
I don't know how to begin. I love my ZR1. I really don't want to sell it. You see I saved it from the wild fires of San Diego. I lost my home and belongings as well as all my stocked parts and documentation for the car. I had all of the receipts for all of the work done on the car from all the previous owners.
What I do have is he original window sticker that was in the car so I still have that. No damage from the fire. The car had just been repaired from small accident that had damaged the hood, which was replaced with an new GM replacement (that was a battle) and repainted on 3/4 of the car. The car is mechanically in great shape. the AC blows cold. Its got a Mark Haibeck Chip, flowmasters with crossover, aftermarket stereo but I left the original radio harness in place and can easily restore to original. I relocated the battery to the back and put a power disconnect in the original location so I did not have to cut up original cables.
Items that need some work are carpet and drivers seat (bolsters torn). Some of the weather striping is needing addressing. A new set of shoes for the car. 43K Miles on it. I drive it and I don't baby it. All my receipts, spare parts, old parts that I saved, shop manuals, everything, are gone due to the wildfires of San Diego County, I lost my house.
I remember some of the big things that were fixed on the car since new but I have no docs to corroborate.
I am asking between 18K to 20K but I will negotiate. I have pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/marc.madmax/UntitledAlbum
Sorry I haven't detailed the car. I did not have the time to get it cleaned since the fire.
Thanks for looking

First sorry for ur loss of home and other car related things, i dont think not even one person wants this.
anyway if mechanic shop did the work than they shoukd be able reprint those reciepts from thier computer database if they saved it, iam sure most mechanics do this, these days. U did not say anyhthing about Title if it burned along with reciepts than u can still get it from DMV office for few bucks u just have show proof of insurance and DL, which i assume u have it, or u can request another reciept of insurance from ur insurance provider usually they be happy to give it u. If u did all work by urself than sure it does hurt.
U need to be sure what u r asking 18-20k than i am sure customer will ask for 18k or less may be.
Also is car burned too, i did not see in ur description nor pics shows any fire damage. But i assume car is free from any fire, and have some few maintenace issues which is no big deal.
Iam sure u should not have any problems selling this beauty with reasonable price. Red/Red ZR1 is awesome and kind of rare combo, car looks great in pics for this mileage and age. Good luck seems nice car with good price.

Thank you for you concern and your help.
The car is free from any fire damage and is in really good shape.
Lets just put the price at $17,500 firm to avoid the questions. This car is very reliable and has not let me down.
As I remember from the receipts the two major issues other than regular service (hoses, belts and fluids) was a flaw in the paint that was redone right after bought. They had also replaced the Transmission in 1992 on a warranty issue.
I bought the car in 2002 with 15000 miles on it out of Texas, I remember I am the third owner. I used it to run back and forth from San Diego to Los Angeles on the weekends (taking care of elderly family members).

You know what the sick part of this is. The insurance company would have paid me more money, $24,000 plus parts, if I let it burn up in the fire. But I couldnt bring myself to allow it. So Ive just F'd myself!

I really want a ZR1 some day, this would be a good choice. But I doubt I could sell my 94. Good luck and here's a bump to the top.

That sort of was the plan, but I've had 71 views and no questions or PMs. I guess I was right, I can't sell mine so, as much as I would love to have this ZR1, it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Its just wrong time to sell and right to buy, u might reduce price a little on ur's and see what happens OR buy this Z and sell ur's later, i dont know if u can finance this Z bcos its very old, but its under 50k miles so i guess u can still finance Z, talk to ur bank, at the worst they say no. Goodluck again cant go wrong with this Z Red/Red and 42k only and 18k price= good deal. Wish i would live in US might have seriously thought of it.

If I had $19K I'd be on a plane next week, but alas I don't.
I'd love to have a ZR1.
In case anyone was wondering why 19K not the 18K the op is wanting.
Well I'd have to buy a plane ticket to get there and have gas money to get home.

I have always wanted a ZR-1.
I have a 92 LT1 with an LT4 hotcam, boring!!
My fun car is an 03 Z with a 383 MTI stroker....470/450
Sweet scary azzed ride!
A ZR-1 / Z06 pair in the garage would be awesome!!
I'm playing with the numbers now and have a call in to the bank!!
I'm hoping I can help you out NOW and I'll worry about selling the 92 later!!
PM me if it's still for sale!!
