The car is a charcoal metallic in color. Charcoal metallic was the rarest color in 1991 with only 417 of them being produced. It also has a 6-speed transmission which only 25% of the 1991’s had.
I bought this Vette in August 2005. The lady who owned it had done a lot of work to it. It had less than 55,000 miles on it when I bought it and as I rolled into the garage yesterday evening it now has 57,303 miles. Current plans call for the car to be in Eureka Springs for the Corvette Weekend so it will have somewhere around 58K in a few days.
When I say the previous owner did a lot to the car, I can only imagine what she must have spent in the process. During the past three years the following items were added:
Holley 52mm throttle body
SLP Siamese Runners
Ported Plenum
Front Y-Pipe without the precats
Power Effects tunable exhaust
Edelbrock Water Pump
Chrome Alternator
Hypertech Computer Chip
K&N filter with cutout lid
Air Pump Replacement Pulley Kit
VPB brakes, rotors & stainless steel hoses
Coolflex Radiator Hose
New Hatch Rubber
Chrome Valve Covers along with a number of other under-the-hood Chrome/Stainless items including:
Master Cylinder Reservoir Cap Covers
Coolant Surge Tank Cover & Cap
Heater Blower Motor Cover
Chrome Water Neck
With the exception of the exhaust and the wheels she kept all the original parts so it could be returned to stock with a minimal amount of effort.
The previous owner showed the car where it garnered a great deal of attention both locally as well as regionally.
For those who are somewhat new to the Vette world the 1991 was the last year for the L98 motor as well as being the first year for all the C4’s to have the convex rear fascia (actually introduced in 1990 on the ZR-1) as well as the new wraparound lamp front-end design.
It currently sports a set of polished 5 spokes (ZR-1 look) running Kumho tires. This Vette sounds great and runs strong!!
Why am I getting rid of the car? My girlfriend has a ’95 Metallic Purple Coupe. She also shows it. We don’t need two C4’s for show purposes right now. Once mine sells I’ll be looking for a Vette from a different generation.
I have a clear title in hand. I’m asking $12,750. The car is located in the Kansas City area.
I’ll try to get some additional photos posted up later today,
This Vette is headed for Eureka Springs tomorrow morning (Thursday 10-05). Current plans are for it to participate in the Autocross as well as the EconoRun. If anybody wants a closer look we can be reached via cell:
NICE! It may help you to put up some pictures of the car in the sun to show off that beautiful charcoal metallic color. In those photos it just looks black (not that there's anything wrong with black!).

You make a great point...the lack of sun doesn't really let the color show all that well. The good news is that the car went to Eureka Springs...Diana fared very well in the Autocross and we sold it to a great couple from down in Texas.
Thanks for your comments/thoughts and thanks to all who took a look.
