WANTED. 86-96 C4, Silver or Gray, Standard

Hey guys im back...A while ago I was looking at a Silver C4 1986, 75k miles good paint $7,000 from a local dealer. But it had an electrical smell (TOO RISKY)

Well, I sat in a c6 the other day at the BIGE, and i realized i need this vette. After harrasing the old ladie for a week and doing some major research I fugured i dont need to owe that much $. I need my toys, so im looking for my starter c4. I dont mind one with a little work needed , or one that needs none.

Im in CT willing to travel up to 500 miles to pick this thing up. I have been working the Bargainnews.com, ebay, autotrader,corvettetreader,etc.

I am looking for a 86-96 silver standard corvette. Prefer black or grey int. I know they are out there as i have seen them from $3,000 for a restore job to $26,000 for a collectors edition.

I have been looking at cars for around $6,500 (which run ok and have ok paint to about $10,000 (which should definately be able to get me something decent.

Silver was available in '84 - '88, and then again in '96.

No. '84 - '88 was the 4+3 manual. The 6-speed arrived for the '89 model year.
