Hello fellow Forum members! Two of my closest Nashville Corvette Club members are selling their Corvette collection . I had a great response to my posting experience when I sold my 2000 Coupe and told them I would list their cars on here for them (they are on dial up and no hosting capability).
This Corvette is their 1990 Black Convertible with Red Interior. All stock, Auto tranny with 63,000 original miles. Garage kept. All metal engine parts polished by HAND by Mr. Ed Hall with Flitz metal polish. Proven show winner, used in various parades in the Tennessee area.
See pics below. Asking price is $25,000.
Please contact Ed or Helen Hall at hmartin443@cafes.net or call 1-931-723-2123 The 2 other Corvettes are listed in the C3 For Sale Section (1978 & 1982)
$25,000 is a bit much. The high retail value on this vert is $14,000 according to NADA, and $11,500 according to Kelley Blue Book. Both in excellent condition.
Just saying you might have more luck if you try to sell it for a little less.
KBB is not a great site to get price on any vehicle, IMHO, especially a well maintained Corvette like this one. I just listed the price they asked me to I'm sure it is negotiable, but I know for a fact this is one of the cleanest 90's out there, garage kept, perfect condition. If interested, drop Ed an email or call, he can tell you all the specifics as to why it is that price.
Update: My friend selling this car has been in the hospital recently and unable to check to Forum much. I have heard from his wife who has asked me to post the *NEW* prices for their cars. Please feel free to contact her for more inforamtion on the cars. Price is now $18,900.00

Car looks nice, but its not extremely low miles. If you want to sell it, You need to ask a price the buyers will be drawn too.
I love how people like to tell other people what there car is worth KBB or Nada is Great if you have toyota or honda. "Just remember the Corvette is Americas Sport car you get what you pay for.

I sold my Vette for a LOT more than KBB. I know how much time, money, blood sweat & tears I put into the car. KBB is a reference, not a definitive "answer" for pricing. I am sure there are some 1990 Vettes out there for a cheaper price, but I was asked to list it at that price and I have. If you'd like to negotiate with the owners, they'd be happy to get an email or call on it, or any other of their Corvettes
Point 1, I hate to see 15+ year old Corvettes priced at a level that a low miles C5 would bring.
Point 2, I hate to see fellow Corvette owners in a pissing match over Kelly Blue Book and NADA and what a Corvette is "worth" in ones mind.
Point to be made: Put a price on it that is "real". It's not "Super Rare" and it's not the only one built. For those who disagree with the price (such as me) it's ok and for those who don't like it, that's ok too. We are all intitled to our own opinion (it's in the Constitution of the U.S.) an the seller and the mods shouldn't "ban" us for it.
My view, I love to look at this beautiful Corvette, but in my mind, it's too much.

This is true. I could laugh at someone who pays $100,000 for a piece of toast that "may" look like an image of Mother Theresa, but I wouldn't. But if I see something that is priced the way it is, and I like it and want it, I will pay above market for it. I will say, there are NO Religious "images" in the paint of any of Ed & Helen's Corvettes
To all the armchair appraisers: this guy is just posting because the owners want to sell the car, not debate its value. If you want to talk about book values of cars you've never seen and don't intend to buy, start a new thread in C4 General. It's not helping sell the car here.
By the way, check out C3's for sale. The same couple have a '78 Silver Anniversary Edition that's a bargain and an '82 Collector Edition that's a really good deal. Both beautiful cars like this '90.

Actually, you don't have an unfettered right to express your opinion on this forum - you agreed to be constrained by the rules of the forum when you joined. This is a private forum, and is not guaranteed any speech protection under the US Constitution.
The forum rules specifically direct that you (and the others that have negatively commented on this poster's price), NOT do so. The language is clear and unambiguous, and you (and others) violated it.
