LT4 Convertible w/ All Options. 16k miles. Losing my baby :(
I just got married this March, and my wife always knew that she was #2 in my life Unfortunately, we are buying a house, and have a downpayment to have to put up, as well as fix up the house. I don't NEED to sell my vette, but it would make things much easier. So..... as hard as this is.... here it goes-
1996 Arctic White LT4 Corvette Convertible with Torch Red Interior and White Top (6 speed). Only 1 of 13 LT4 Convertibles with this color combo.
I am a documentation freak, so I have every document ever used for this car. Including original sticker, etc. I am the second owner, and this car has exactly 16,952 miles. MSRP was $53,719.
Options-
This is a totally loaded out car, but I will name the options anyways-
-Spare Tire Delete
-LT4 Engine
-Power Driver and Passenger Sports Seats
-Electronic Climate Control
-Low Tire Pressure Warning System
-Bose AM/FM Stereo w/ CD Player
-Adjustable Suspension (F45)
-Auxillary Hardtop (White, and in flawless condition w/ cover and stand. Stock, not aftermarket)
This car is totally pampered. I start it once a week, and drive it once every 2-4 weeks. It has NEVER (and I mean never) been TOUCHED by rain. It has also only been treated with Zaino car care products, and doesnt even have a swirl mark! Again, this car is perfect.
I have done some things to it, but nothing to reduce its appearance, but only enhance it. What I have put on modification wise-
-Borla Cat-Back Exhaust (Stainless Steel)
-Forgeline 5 spoke Wheels (These were approx $800 PER WHEEL)
-Cross-Drilled and Slotted Calipers
-Red Brake Calipers (Stock, painted red)
-K&N Filter
-Hypertech Power Programmer w/ 160 degree thermostat (Neither has been installed ever on this car, but I have them new in box).
-Tinted Windows (On Hardtop also)
-Custom Slash Guards
-Lloyd Floormats (Took out stock ones to keep in mint condition)
-Halogen headlamps (new, still in box)
-Taillight and license plate louvers
-(put on at 16,500 miles)- (4) Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance tires.
This one is again, flawless, and only serious inquires only please, so please e-mail me at andysol@comcast.net , or pm me here. If you have been waiting for this one, here it is. It will be missed
FYI- I am only offering this on CorvetteForum for a reason, so it will not be in an autotrader or any other source.
I am asking $24,000 firm.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
Edited: I just took some pics outside (sorry it is dirtier than normal. It has surface dust)

Thanks cuisinart. It is hard to let go, but someone will be extremely happy. It is almost just as much about the person as it is the price. If someone wanted to drive it hard and cut it up, and offered me 30k, I wouldn't take it.

Like that thinking, and you know what? the car shows it. Keep the faith; it'll sell to someone who appreciates it as much as you do.
Will somebody PLEASE buy this beautiful car soon so I can regain some of my lost sanity. I want it so much it hurts. I look at this thread and cry for the opportunity lost.
The C4 is truly a one-of-a-kind design beauty with the clamshell tilt front and interior mindful of a jet cockpit. It holds you firmly in place while piloting, and has not so far been replicated by subsequent corvettes.
The LT4 is just one notch below the LT5, and may just be the most effective and efficient GM-produced engine ever. Fantastic power per cubic inch, docile street behaviour and excellent fuel economy - all in a mass-produced, reasonably priced package. And you can drop the top for even more fun with this one.
Personal opinions, all - but that's what this maddening hobby is all about.
I'm buying lottery tickets as fast as possible, Andy, in hopes of hitting it big enough to capitalize on your loss. I don't think this kind of opportunity will come up again for a very long time. I wish I could pull the trigger on it now. Good luck, and ttt.

Also, wanted to mention that I will be selling this up until June 30th. I am closing on my house at that date. I have enough for the downpayment/closing costs/repairs, etc, but I would have to jump into my savings money (It ended up being more than I expected because it was a short-sale- investment property, etc, etc). So, after June 30th, the Corvette will be off the market, because I won't need that money, as I would have already dug into my savings

Thanks everyone for the compliments,

Andy, just MHO but don't sell her. I thought I had to sell my `94 coupe when I had a bit of a financial crisis, and as it turns out I could've kept it. I still regret it. It would've been lean for a few years, but I would've made it.
If the dip into your savings can be recouped in a few years, and it won't put a financial burden/strain on you to do so, then keep this car because you'll be glad you did in the end....good luck.

I know. She has done well, and I will miss her. But I have to look at it financially as well as realistically. As much as I love it.... I will be getting another one someday (soon hopefully). I have always wanted to restore an older one- (~1980), so this will make sure I have that opportunity also. I'm happy either way, but alot less stressed if I do sell it
Just a reminder, in case anyone out there forgot. This is 16k miles, all original, perfectly maintained LT4 (again, LT4), and a convertible. Not to mention is has every possible option you could consider, including a stock hardtop w/ built in rollbar. Makes it looks like a "C4 Z06".
So... because a dealer clogged up the forum, I had to make a post to send this ttt
I had a person question me about the carfax in regards to the owner 2 and 3. Just wanted to clarify it because it does look confusing. My dad had the car under his name between 2/28/02 - 5/4/06, then titled it over to me. I had the intention of keeping the car, but then we came across an investment property, and the money would come to use, so I decided to sell it.
It has been my car and my car only, and it has always been in my garage. Just an FYI
I hope this doesn't come across as a hijack or criticism -- but, have you tried local papers, Cars.com, Autotrader.com, etc? This forum is full of very knowledgeable enthusiasts, but the number actually looking for a C4 at this time may be pretty small. And, I've seen a bias to really push prices down, at least in part because folks are so knowledgeable -- whereas, a car as nice as yours might just bowl a potential first timer out there who would never even think to check the Forum (like me a year ago). When they see it in person, they'll realize there's nothing else out there as nice for their $15K.
Just curious -- and good luck - it's a real beauty

Thanks Onyx, and its not a hijack or criticism at all. My reasons for only posting it in the corvette forum, is that I actually don't want a first timer to get this car. I want an enthusiast, and someone who would treat it like it should be. Everyone on the forum would do that.... not everyone in DFW would That is why I offered it at my already lowest price. If I did it in the paper, I would offer it for ~$27k, and go down to $24k. But, with CF (For which I have been a member for over 5 years now), I can just be blunt and honest, because we trust each other here Just like I trust someone here w/ my car. (Plus I will know where to go if I want to buy it back
