Hello all new member, looking at buying c4. Anyway, can somebody tell me what year the dash went from the digital like in the 84-85 to the analog style. Also what year they got rid of the big lump over the glove box, (possibly an airbag but I doubt it). Looking for something in the 8k range just to keep it forum related. If anyone has a pic of an 89,90,91 dash they could post that would be helpful, or maybe a link.

Digital Dash 84-89
Analog 90-96
The big lump (Bread Box) was from 84-89
You can always replace it. I did.
Beg, borrow, steal or if you must, BUY the book "Cor-Vette Specs" by Mike Antonick, ISBN 0-933534-51-5. It will answer about all the questions you NEED to know before buying any C4. Best of luck!

FYI
Had one problem with that book....
It spec'd the engine in my #'s matching 68 as a 300 hp (from the letter prefix).
The corvette black book put it as 350 hp (same prefix).
Checked with a GM dealer. It was a 350 hp. Don't understand the mixup in the book, otherwise it hit the options on my 68 to a tee.

I think you're confusing Antonicks' "Corvette Black Book" with his "Cor-vette Specs" book. Cor-vette Specs is only about C4s, '84-'96. All "spec" books are subject to errors. If something appears incorrect it's time to look for other sources.
