if this link doesn't work, just go to the main site www.mobile.de and hit
"suchen" then put in the make "Chevrolet" from the drop down menu then type in ZR1 in the 'model' menu, should pull up the car from there.

I remember seeing a yellow one in a magazine a few years ago. I probably still have the magazine but it would be hard to find it. One of the best looking body kits I've ever seen and really high horsepower, possibly turbocharged. I believe it was converted in Germany.
I agree. It's hard to improve on the stock c4. Jerry Palmer got it right, especially the wide body ones.

If you can find that mag with the yellow Gieger ZR-1... I would like to get my hands on those pictures... e me please
Even though Iam preaching to the C4 Choir... Yes... C-4s look good... however... they are a bit on the plain looking side... Just putting on a good set of wheels does wonders for a C4... and by simply tinting the windows... it gives them a bit more of a
"mystique" look...
The Gieger is a somewhat radical widebody redesign... It really is a simple design... The 2 major styling differences are... the fenders are "blistered"... and the nose is extended... The nose extension has got to improve downforce at speed... so... in that regard... it works as it regards being an "Autobahn Cruiser"... C4s tend to get light in the front end at high speed unless suspension tweaks are made... or areo-dynamic changes are made... or both...
The only thing missing is the Toledo Pro cowl induction hood... That hood design should have been standard on the ZR-1 imho... I think the ZR-1 was worthy of having a hood that set it apart from the regular C4... I haven't seen a C4 yet that didn't look better with that hood on it...
If you like deep dish wheels on a C4... the Gieger package makes it possible...
All I can say... The more I see it... the more I like it... I wonder what the airflow effiency is on this body kit ?

Geiger did maybe four or five twin turbo ZR-1s. Don't know if this one has turbos or not. The problem is that they left the engine internals alone and with stock 11.25:1 compression ratio, the Geigers could take almost no boost and blew lots of head gaskets.

I have emailed the seller (in my broken German) with some basic questions, I'll let you know if I get a response and what they say.
Stay tuned!

The only hood I like better is the hood on the active suspension cars. The black one that used to be at the musuem was fantastic. It had a slight flare to the sides of the rise as if came up the hood line. Most likely to allow for the oil compressor and other active parts. I could take or leave the side vents. I already have those on the old 72 TA. But the hood will make you drool.
Ted: I found the picture of the Yellow Geiger Z but it's not very big. It's approx. 3.5 x 2.5 inches with 4 paragraphs of info below it telling about horsepower price etc. It is in Corvette Fever Nov. 1993 page 12. It stated 615 hp. with twin turbos and intercooler and this one looks like it has a convertable hardtop bonded on similar to a present day Z06 rather than a rear hatch. I wish I had a scanner so I could post the picture on the net for you. I have a cheap digital camera but doubt if it would come out very clear. If you really want it I would clip it out and mail it to you.
I sold a Head to a guy in Holand that owns one of those gieger cars
he posts on the CAC once in a while but I cant remember his log in name and I dont have his name with me here....
I think his was black and im not sure if it was turboed but he blew up a head on his? lost a cam chain
I think he has a post on the other forum about a lifter making noise

Good work on locating the pictures ! Now... all I have to do is dig through a plastic crate buried in the garage and that issue will appear in my grubby hands... I saw some pictures posted somewhere along time ago... but never able to find them again... maybe these are it...
Thanks Jabrun
I finally got an email response to my query to the owner about the car, this is all they said:
