Default Flowmaster Tips

Gang,

I love the sound of the Flowmasters on my ZR-1, BUT...., the exhaust tips look cheap and unfinished.

Has anybody added different tips to their Flowmasters?

Thanks,

DMark

Default Flowmaster tips

A friend of mine had a stainless set of tips custom made at a sheet metal fab shop for his flowmasters. There are also many aftermarket tips you could put on, just make sure the diameter is the same. I dissagree that they look cheap. The flowmaster tips fit the cutout in the rear cover better than any that I've seen and they also tuck under the car the best plus they are by far the best performance value for the money imho. I painted mine black and welded all the connections for a cleaner look.

I agree about liking the way that the tips fill the bumper opening. If the edges were rolled, it would look alot better IMO.

Thanks,

DMark

I just painted mine with some high temp paint and have since removed the clamps and had them welded . Also had the resonator removed and an H pipe installed . Sounds good to me with little resonance.
